Sometimes, being in the limelight is fun and exciting. Some actors believe, it is their time to shine and prove their worth in expressing themselves. It's because the audience's eyes are in YOU! Yes, you are the star of the event! And so, their presence boosts your energy to act. But there are instances that you feel terrible of yourself. Perhaps, it's because there are some audience that you feel you hardly please, so it gives you pressure.

I have performed onstage before and I love the attention of the audience. I love the spotlight, I love how I made some audience cry, how I made them laugh. It's normal to feel nervous before the performance, but once onstage I feel the butterflies in my stomach moving away. Suddenly I become the role that I perform. Being in the limelight is so exciting.

It is true what you say, lizeri. Some do it for those reasons. However, for me, it is about how I feel when on stage. I don't know about you, but every time I am on stage, I feel like whatever tension or problem when backstage are gone. They have simply evaporated. I become the person I want to be at that specific moment, which is a very special feeling. I feel really good, when I am on stage.
I want to be on stage, because it is a special and rewarding place. Yes, because of how it makes me feel, but also because it is a time and place when we (actors, dancers, etc.) can present the final product, which adds to the feeling that I get when onstage.

Are you a stage performer? You didn't say!
But yes, I think you're partially right - sometimes I feel as though a particular night didn't have the verve that another night might have had.
The limelight can be fun, yes; it's also quite exaughsting. I find that after a long performance full of mistakes or forgotten lines, or trips - that I'm really too tired to go explain myself to fans.
Many want to ask me lots of questions.
It is truly a rare performer who can do a full week worth of shows and still stop and be gracious to his or her fans.
I tend to get a bit shy, and run, I'll tell you. Sometimes it's just too hard to cope with it.
