My town is famous for its Football club, the first team ever to win the English league championship three times in a row, for being the birth place of Rugby league and for making the highest quality woollen textiles in the world. It is also famous as the birth place of the once Great Britain prime minister, Harold Wilson as well as imfamous for being the birth place of Britains last hang man, Albert Pierpoint.
What is your town or city, and what is it famous for?

Wow! Thanks for telling me a little bit about my father's birthplace and my grandmother's home town. My dad left when he was 1 1/2 years old and my grandmother won't talk to me at all, so I know nothing about it.
My city, San Diego is one of the oldest cities of the European settlements in North America. It was discovered by a Portuguese sailor for Spain in 1542 and given the name San Diego in 1600. The area was known for its mission for a long time afterwards.
It has also been known as a tuna fishing town, but that has been gone since the early 80s. And, it is still known as a big Navy town. But, mostly it's known for it's stable weather and climate.
