Do you answer replies on your discussion in mylot and if you do ..how many times will you answer the same person.. Suppose the person replying has another question..Do you just reply once to those who reply or do you actually discuss..if the person responding to your topic has further concerns.?

I will reply as many times as it takes. I look at mylot as a chance to discuss things that I find interesting or important. Often, I am trying to promote (without shoving it down people's throats) and find exposure for some of my AC articles, but I also will discuss anything that I think is interesting and this is a site for discussions. I try to go back through all my old started dicussions and answer any questions people have, at least until the discussions are a month or so old and resolved.

Glad that you do take time to reply to your responses.. I notice some people will start a topic and then wont respond at all; others respond once but if you ask a question or make a comment they say nothing more. .It's like they do the minimum nothing more..Making the topic more a survey then a discussion:)+

I agree..with this ..that you must reply to those who respond..after all they made effort to read your topic and respond initially:)+

I do reply to almost all who responded to my discussion. Especially if I have something to ask or add. And I also check the discussions I've responded to. Even if I use a lot of time. I think it is an important exercise to do, because you get to know the person on your friends list. And by doing so they become real friends not only virtual friends as other says. And I made a point to comment and reply on discussions. Because one person commented on me to not very active on mylot especially on his friends list. I was really shocked because I'd replied to three of his discussions already even if I'm a newbie. When I check his profile, I knew why he didn't know me, because he didn't take time to comment or reply to those who commented on his discussions. So sadly, he was wrong about me. This is a sad thing to say to others and I don't want it to happen to others too. (^^,)

You are right ..it is necessary to take time to know the people on your threads and make them more "real" then "virtual". However, many do come looking to see the quantity of posts they can make more then the quality of posts. One can quickly determine those who are strictly looking for numbers..:)+

I answer as many times as I need too. I really don't think it makes a difference, your only going to get 1 credit anyway. if it is your discussion. if it is someone elses discussion you will get 1 credit. I would assume don't quote me.

Since it is a discussion..I don't look at it just for credit..I do like the idea of helping a person out especially if they keep up their part in the discussion. I am not here for only the money..I come here to relax and meet friends and keep up with friends..

I try to reply to as many comments on my discussions as I can though sometimes it is very difficult due to the number of responses. I will reply more than once to a comment if they have further questions. I will not reply to those who give one word answers though or something off the wall.

Like you ..I don't respond to the one word responses..I don't rate them either; unless they habitually are posting one word responses on my threads.. I must admit, though, I have not seen many one word responses for a very long time..I think I saw one by someone I never thought would put a one word response..but I let it go by..without comment or rating..other then that most people are posting substantial responses.+

I don't normally answer every response on my discussions, but if I feel I have something to say to a response, then I'll respond. And I'll keep responding as long as I and the other person have something to add.

I would usually answer back comment per comment, because most of the time, my discussions would merit further discussion. Some respondents would leave a question in their response. This is why I would always check my discussions for further comments, because I really like discussing. Sometimes, the back-and-forth comments would take almost a page! Hehe. I would like the other party to also feel that the response is being read. Happy myLotting!

Glad to hear that you take time to read your responses and that you may continue to respond more then once to those who post on your thread. Posters do like to know that their responses are valuable..don't you think;)+

I respond as many times as it be necessary to make myself understood. I think it's unpolite to answer just one time and leave following questions with no answer. Unless you miss to know there was a second or third question (if you didn't have time to read all emails that day).

If the topic is continued with another question by my responders I try to reply to the response again..I like discussions where people really discuss and not simply answer;)+

Up to today, I have given everyone a quality response. Today, I am trying something new. I will reply to every few responses as a group. But, if someone really says something that needs to be individually addressed, I will address it. Again I am trying this just for now. I may go back to acknowledging everyone again. I always check my discussions to see if anyone has a question or needs something more. Every time I see a new comment or response, I will check it out and reply if necessary.

I answer responses to my discussions if they ask questions or make comments that I feel I should respond back to. I don't comment to each and every one that responds but I try to at least comment on those that I can where it will add to the over all discussion. Yes I have had some people make the same comments or questions and I have responded back each time. Now I will admit when it gets to be on the third page I will become more sarcastic and state they should have been reading the responses before posting but that is if I've answered the same question more then 10 times.

Well ..that is nice to know that you do take time to respond to those who reply.. I try to when I see them ..as my reply does help them and if they take time to reply then I think they deserve a response..Thanks for your response:) Happy Easter!!

You are so right..taking time to interract is so important for a good discussion..it's what differentiates a discussion from survey..I think many here forget this is not a survey site its a discussion place...It's more personal and interractive then a survey!:)+
