Do wives/girlfriends cook more than their partners?

I am the one who cooks in my house. My husband helps whenever he can but I do most of the cooking. I see the same scenario with all my girl friends and sometimes the husband doesn't help at all in the kitchen. Do you think that wives/girlfriends cook more than their partners even if they both work?

one of my friends married not long before, and her husband do everything, cooking, washing,he is really a model husband.i like the feeling of doing cooking together, that seems more romantic.but honestly,i cant cook, nobody will eat things i cooked if i tell them beforehand, including me.that sounds terrible, lol,if both of us can not cook, then we will have nothing to eat.

In my case, this would be a no. That's only because I am not a very good cook:) I am an excellent baker though, so I make up for it that way. It most cases I'm sure the female does cook more than the male though.

My partner likes cooking so I let him but I probably still cook more often than he does because I am here all the time and have to cook when he's working. I think if he had the chance to cook for us every night, he probably would do it maybe two or three nights a week. He makes proper meals and I tend to just warm things up from the freezer so in that way, he cooks more than I do. And I know my dad often makes meals for my mum because my mum works and my dad doesn't. I also think my sisters partner does a fair bit of cooking for them. So, I don't know if it's just my family where men do more cooking!
