I had a very interesting and great teacher in my 7th and 8th grade. His name is Mr. Sarwar. I was always considered a very good student specially in maths as i would do any maths problem quickly while others were still struggling. Interesting and great thing about this teacher is that he challenged me the very first time in my life. As i was still among the students who won't take much time in solving maths problems but he was never satisfied, if i solved the problem with only one method. He will always insist me to come up with different methods about solving a problem. that was a pretty new and different thing for me and i had to struggle to think and bring a solution with different approaches. This approach brought about in me an attitude of thinking out of the box to satisfy my teacher and it helped me a lot in making my scietific approach. He remained with me for two years and i consider these two years the best of my student life as my later achievements are the result of the spirit which was instilled in me by him. I attribute much of my academic gains to him and have a deep respect for him. our teacher student relationship which was developed at that time continued to exist and he always was happy with my later achievements. He is more like a fatherly figure for me now than a teacher and he will always have a space in my heart for his efforts to let me know my potentials.

As an English teacher, I congratulate you on your taste! I went to a strict English school, and my Religious Studies teacher was the only one who actually allowed me to question what he taught. Despite my being sacriligious, sometimes, he welcomed free thinking. He was great.

As a student, it is quite lucky to have a good teacher or professor. It is well know a job of a teacher is a job of consciousness. I mean, not all teachers are strict with their students in the class and treat the students as their kids after class. The teacher who impressed me most is a teacher when I was studying in middle school. I admire his abundant knowledge and his personality. The latter is the most important.

There have actually been several that made a lasting impression on me. As a military brat, I went to 13 schools in 13 years, so there were a lot of teachers over the years. I can still remember some of the lessons they taught me as far back as 5th grade though. I think I had a favorite teacher or two for each year after that. By that point, I was only going to one or two schools each year. :)

I had a teacher in grade schol that treated us with great respect and allowed us to have as much responsibility as we could shoulder and nearly everyone in the class flourished. When I work with children now, I like to think I interact with them in a similar fashion.

I am here to talk about the teacher who have taught me a lot as student of the life and yoga and to achieve the real thing of the life, the essence of the life! He is Shri Aurobindo. He had left his body in 1950 and I am born in 1951; But he is my Master and taught me! Where ever I am here now and what ever positive in me all are because of his teachings and what ever I lack is my limitations and yet HE is ispiring to cross all such odds with his kind aproaches providing to me! I am trying to follow his teaching in life!

There were two. My 5th grade teacher Mrs Fishel was really great. She was nice and kind. When she caught me cheating on spelling after a bunch of tests she didnt tell my mom. When I won a speech contest and then lost the second round she gave me flowers and understood stuff. My second was my Sociology teacher in college. I really enjoyed that teacher and wanted to have her as a teacher and then I got her for a semester. Very nice, smart and I loved the way she taught too.

For me it was a music teacher. WE all started in a very wrong footing with him. We used to make jokes and not pay attention in class, but as the year went buy we learned a lot of things with him, some about music, some about general culture and some about life. In the end he was the person that influenced most of us more than anyone else. He gave us love to learn and thought us that every subject can be interesting if we give it a chance. Although he thought music, we learn more about history and language with him than in our other classes. I remember I was already out of high school and I used to visit him often.

Its my english teacher when i was in class 8.She was transferred to our branch from another branch of our school to make improvement with the language in our branch. She is so good at teaching and the way she explain things really out up even the dull students.I can never forget her pronounciation and grammatical power. She had such a great potential in her that really made me pronounce words more stylishly after that. She was humorous and helpful with all students and the same way she was strict too when we fail to do the home work. But when we were in class 10 she left or branch and we missed her a lot.

My freshman English teacher left a really big impression on me in high school. She was such a sweet, free spirited lady. She really stood up for the students and made us appreciate what we were learning about. She had a way of explaining things that made us excited about learning. I never really got into English until I had her class.

My high school English teacher brought out the poet in me and, in so doing, changed my life forever. That creative spark ignited an uncontrollable fire from which was borne the career that I have today. Some ten years after I graduated, I called him up one day, out of the blue, thanking him for what he had done. He seemed genuinely surprised and told me that I had made his whole week. I put a well-deserved smile on his face, but that was the least I could do for a man as great as he.

Your story is somewhat similar to mine. One of the most important teachers in my life was Mrs. Wade. I had her for two semesters of English; one in communications, and the other in grammar. She was the hardest English teacher I'd ever had, and one of the strictest teachers in the school. But she was also the best by far. It was because of her instruction that I now get perfect scores in virtually every English test I take. Since having her, I have taken a TABE test in Job Corps, scoring 778 out of a possible 778. My most recent English test was the ACE assessment test at Delta College. I scored 451 out of a possible 451 in reading, and 453 out of a possible 455 in writing.

My Advance Engineering Mathematics Professor is way beyond impressive! He's not just a great teacher, he's a good man, a devoted family man, a friend and a counselor. You see, he's teaching numbers, almost everybody hates Mathematics. But he makes Math a piece of cake. He makes sure we'll appreciate the importance of Mathematics in life by not only teaching us the subject but relating it too to our everyday lives. He never run out of anecdotes and he's got a great sense of humor as well as high regards for morality and ethics. He inspires us all, no wonder he always bag the "Best Teacher Award" year after year. He's all what a teacher is supposed to be!

Yes I remember my science teacher in my eleventh, who had instilled a desire in me to learn science and where my interest in science developed. I also loved my mathematics teacher in my 8th who praised me when I completed my math first in the class and this has greatly improved my morale in this subject.

An English professor I had in College impressed me deeply. Dr. Isabel Hizon was her name. I learned a lot from her, not only about English but perhaps even more about life. She so skillfully took every opportunity to teach us moral values. She didn't sound like preaching at all but we understood what she wanted us to learn. It was also her person, her life. The whole class admired and loved her.
