Please check your homepage once in a while because some of us newbies here are asking to be added to your friends list. And I don't think you will notice it if your not in your homepage. Also friends leave comments, and responds to some discussions and it would be nice if we can respond to those replies.

Oh, I don't understand what you're saying about friends. When a user is requesting to be on my list, its easy for me to know right away because its reflected on the topmost part of the page.
I also try to comment back to all those who respond to my threads. I may not comment back immediately, but I always recheck to make sure I read all the responses. :)

Actually, you will see that you have received a friend request on every myLot page except your profile page if I remember correctly.
It will appear something like friends(13) which the 13 would be the number of people applying to your friend. Check the profile page of that person - if you are not rejected outright, probably he/she is still considering whether to accept. Look for when that person last signed on. You might have wanted to befriend an inactive guy. :P

I am on dial up so friends that leave moving or musical comments makes my computer freeze. I have to delete them if I can and ask Management to do so when I cannot. I do check on my homepage profile but not much. My friends request are at the top of the page and can access them from there. Just remember us few that on dial up when you think your profile is so neat. Some of us would leave comments and answer more discussions if we could access your page.

There are also some members here are not that easy to add some people here on their friend's list, as they have more things to do first before taking their time to check mostly on their freind request list. You should also have to consider that some of the members here are using dial-up, and that they value more of their time than looking on other things.
Just try to be more patient, as you may also be added if they have time to do it so..

You can actually see your friend requests from anywhere on myLot. You just have to look at the upper menu where it says friends. When you have friend requests their number show up in parenthesis near the word friends. Also you get emails for each response on your discussion so there's no need to check out your profile for that either. The only thing that shows up only on your profile are the comments left there by friends.

I usually see them at the top of my page where the word "friends" are. It's the first thing I notice when I log on. I have never had a friends request go unanswered for more than a day. I approve them as soon as I log on.

Really great idea. I will try to do this more often. Sorry that I have not felt well enough to be here more often lately.

You are incorrect I never check my homepage very often because at the top of every page a is a row of choices and "friends" is one of them and when anyone want to be a friend it will have 1 or 2 in parenthesis letting know you there is a request and how many.

I think you make a very important point here sutan74. The new layout still has people looking for where they used to find their information, lol. I use both the homepage and my profile to help me navigate the site when I'm on. :)
While I see the homepage first when I come to mylot, I also use the profile page alot to keep me more organized with the discussions I've started and replied to. The homepage usually shows equally important activity on your account too. Not only friends waiting on your approval, but also any messages you have waiting for you. :)

Over three hundred posts, a perfect 10 rating, and you call yourself a newbie!!! Wow!
I have been around here for sometime now and I still haven't gotten my 300. Guess I haven't been all that active, but I'm more active of late. Yes, I do check my home page. I just scroll to the top of any page, to know if there are any pending friend invites or messages.
