Pass them on to any relative or friend who wants them, or give away to charity.

While my sister-in-law and my niece enjoys doing garage sales to dispose their old clothes and stuff, I, on the other hand would love to give it to friends or to people who needs them. It's one easy way of doing charity without a sweat.

If they are children's clothes or toys I often pass them on to friends or family that needs them. Anything else gets donated to Goodwill or tossed in the garbage. I used to do garage sales once in a while but have found that it really is a lot of work and is not worth my time. If I have items that are in like new condition I sometimes take them to a consignment shop for resale. That is the easiest way to make money!

We often have regular collection bags dropped through our doors for unwanted items and old clothes and these are collected, sorted and used by charities both here and abroad. I wuould only consider giving something to charity if there was some genuine use that could be had out of the garment, otherwise there really is little point. We also have many charity shops which accept donations, and indeed at recycling depots there are often clothing banks that sit alongside the bottle banks. We really have no excuses not to help out.

I never throw out gently used clothing. There are so many opportunities to recyle those close for better purposes. In my neighborhood several organizations come around leaving plastic bags to fill with used clothing and they will pick it up on a specific date. I voluteer to help out at an organization that raises money through rummage sales and that's where all my gently used clothing goes. I must have donated over a hundred bags over the last ten years, but I have the satisfaction of knowing that the clothing went for a good cause.

If I discover that something does not fit me anymore,I prefere to give it away ,to someone poor, that can't affort new clothes. However,if I just get bored of one of my clothes,I try to find a way to modify it ,in order to be more interesting. And as I am a very imaginative person,I have already modified a big part of my garderobe. So,to conclude with,I must say that I do give clothes to the poor...muah,colega!!!
