Lincoln biscuits are round, fairly sweet and light and have a pattern of small raised circles on them. I shall certainly bring some to tea.
I just wondered why they were called Lincoln as I can not find anything about them at all. They are very nice dunked in tea but it is a bit of an art form as they flop into little pieces if you dunk them for too long.

I searched this as coming from Lincashear (Lincolnshire) I rather felt they did, and they do, apparently they are a healthy shortbread.
The lovely little mountains are there to make them last longer due to rations - kids nibble them off slowly, lol.
Apparently they are rare now, especially the mcvities ones with lincon embossed on them, the biscuit appears to resist it.
The wicca encyclopedia has a lift of bakers but I found stuff via city of lincoln going to the biscuit lovers guide, it was quite good fin, brings a new meaning to cup of coffee and a biscuit - and calorie free, ha - could be my new diet breakthrew, heehee.

Wow! Thank you for all that information. They really are from there and heavens! A healthy shortbread. I actually like something that is healthy? Wow! Chalk that one up. When I sit there nibbling my way through the pack I can tell people to shut up I am eating a healthy biscuit!
I admit I did used to nibble those raised bits off lol.
Thanks again, I can now use that in trivia!
