Many are taking up nursing profession today, when you ask them why they take up this course the most answers you will hear will be "to work abroad and to earn green money".Its so sad sometimes that the essence of the profession is now being used as a commodity. Most of our nurses today are applying for a job outside the country. We cannot blame them too, maybe because of the hard jobs but paid low.We cannot blame them too because they have dreams also for their family. As we all know life here in the philippines is so tough, maybe the government will more focus on these. What is being worried today is that our doctors are taking up nursing course too,so that they can go out in the country and get a high salary there. What if one day we have a shortage of medical professions here? Are we going to bring our patients to where they are now located in the world? What can you say about this?

Generally, nurses want to go abroad for greener pasture but I believe that there are those who would like to stay here in the Philippines because it's a better place than where the many are going. And perhaps, our way of life would improve also and those who are outside the country now will come back.
