I suffer from migraines when there is a change in weather. When I step out of an air-conditioned room and the weather is too hot, migraine starts to set in my head. Sometimes, when it's been a tiring day and I'm so hungry, migraine sets in. Oftentimes, if I don't get enough sleep, my head really aches. It starts from one side of my head, then gradually, it spreads all over. I take pain relievers once migraine sets in. I often take Dolfenal 500. Migraine stops in about an hour when you take medicine once it has started. Don't wait for your head to throb totally before you take in pain relievers.

If this is new for you I would suggest checking with the doctor. Migraines could be a symptom of something else and if so they can check and let you know. They can also be just migraines and there is nothing they can do for them except treat the pain when it happens. What you can do in the mean time is keep a log. Mark down what you eat, what you do, cleaning products you use, everything so that way you can find triggers for your migraines. There are all sorts and what might trigger one in you might not for another so there is no set thing in it. The more you know though the more you can let your doctor know. If you can find your triggers if you can avoid them it will help. Good luck.

i am no longer suffering from repeated headaches, or migraines. i used to suffer greatly from head aches and migrains.. but when i transferred work and well.. the stress was minimized, the headaches stop coming as well and i think my head aches really come from stress i get from my previous work. anyway, my friend who also suffers from headache also advised me that grapes helps a lot in making the migraines go away.

I use to get them regularly. I think that different people get them for different reasons. If you have not tried taking a magnesium supplement, I suggest you try it. Sometimes people get migraines as a result of magnesium deficiency. This was my problem. I take a magnesium supplement everyday and I don't get migraines anymore. If I do skip a day, I start getting them again. It's worth a try. Good luck!

Different people have migraines for different reasons. It could be caused by several things including any one of many migrain triggers, but you should see your doctor if you are having them regularly. I used to have them almost daily, and I began taking the prescription imitrex which was the only thing that helped at all. Now I am taking topamax, which keeps me from having nearly as many of them. I still get them but they are milder. I still take the imitrex when I get them, but the topamax does wonders in keeping me from getting nearly as many.

I have had migraines since I was 13 so far I haven't heard of a cure for them, I don't have underlying conditions that cause them and they can be heraditary.
