Does anyone know a good alternative to Winamp?

I normally use Winamp for my mp3's and also to listen to CD's on my computer. But lately it's been giving me problems and i might change into a new program. But i need that program to be small and simple, right as winamp is. I don't like media player, so have you got any suggestions? thanks on advance.

There are lots and lots of alternative media player available to replace winamp. I would personally suggest you VLC media player which is really very good and a very decent player. Or you could try real player or quick time. If you are in windows operating system, you could also try windows media player. But I would prefer you to try VLC media player or foobar which is also good and free.

Yes, VLC is good also. However, the good thing about ultraplayer you can add more than one song and also playlists. With VLC and realplayer you cannot add more than one song :( (I think without creating a play list). VLC is good because it also plays DVDs and many video files. Have a nice day.

winamp is great, i am fond of it. may be there is some problem with installation file you are using. try to install older version of winamp,like winamp 3,they are more stable than newer versions and simple. if you want other software say for change,go for QCD player. it is small and similar to winamp.it doesn't draw much resources,but remember, it is not winamp.

Hello LightninStrike, i absolutely agree with you. I also don't like to use Media Player as the software very slow and complicated. Normally i use a new player named "ttplayer" which developed by taiwanese.Of course it is available in Chinese and English version, but 1 special feature about it, is it will automatic download the lyrics of your songs from Internet or some lyrics server. This featuer simplified a lot of our task to search for it, and some more it act as a "karaoke" player when playing your songs.
