I've tried it before and it is really really good. It's crispy on the outside and cool and creamy on the inside..The ice cream is actually coated with a form of pastry and deep fried in very hot oil for a quick dip. The result... delicious fried ice-cream!!

I have heard about fried ice-cream but have not tried it myself... i find it strange, why would anyone want to fry ice-cream? I am not even going into how they fry it... but does it taste any different or better after frying it?

Hi there. I have heard of fried ice cream, and Ive always wondered, If the ice cream is fried, how would the cook, manage to stop it from melting. Ive always wondered about that, But did nothing to research it.

I haven't tried this fried ice cream yet. But I do know how they make it. I have one recipe which they coated the frozen ice cream with corn flakes and freeze it again before frying them. The frying time is only life 5 second and only fried the corn flakes. This fried ice cream normally serve with other sweet gravy like honey or chocolate.

I love ice cream, that's why I'm responding to this discussion :). I wonder where in manila? maybe I'll go there sometime. Ha ha ha that is if I get the chance to go back there. Philippines have a lot of weird foods, but taste great!! So I'm not quite surprised that there is a fried ice-cream in Philippines.

There are many places here in the States that sell fried ice cream on their dessert menus. I have yet to have it. I've heard that it is really good. I still do not understand how the ice cream does not melt. haha So I guess that's the only part I find really weird.
