ro_and I think that the ultimate offroad car at a accessible price is Nissan Patrol. It's huge and comfortable for a long distance roadtrip and has great offroad characteristics. But while in a city or a parking lot you face a LARGE problem. :)

ro_and I'm from Romania and the roads here are in a very bad condition. With a Hyundai Getz i've reached the top speed of 172 Km/h, but it was dangerous. With this car and this type of roads i cruise around 130 km/h to feel safe.

Automatic or manual gearbox?
