rvangeld Most of the time, I do have time to read what people have posted on my comments, but if I do not have time I will not read them. I am usually pretty busy with school and work, but during the summer, I have a lot of time.

rvangeld It means that if no one is there to hear the sound that the tree makes, then it does not make a sound. This is how I have always thought of this quote.

rvangeld I can knit very well, people get shocked when I can watch TV and knit without even looking at the needles. I love doing it, it is very therapeutic for me and helps me to be busy.

rvangeld I agree with you, although the Miss Universe contestants, I believe, are not just chosen because of looks, it is things they would like to accomplish. Although people could argue that a person who is bigger could never make it, but one day, maybe they could.

rvangeld I think that it means that the person looks more approachable and easier to talk to, making the person look better. It does not mean that the face looks rearranged, it is more of an approachability factor.
