Why wouldn't the bird be hurt when it is standing on the wire?

I saw the little birds are standing on the wire in line today, why can they stand there? They are supposed to be hurt by electricity!!!

Do cats have really nine(9) lives?

I am at my right age but I still remember my grandmother said about cats. According to her, cats have nine lives, so they don't die easily. Is it proven?

tawjmp Of course not, Cat's are simple creatures, just like the rest of us. They contain the same physical limitation's. The theory that cat's have 9 lives isn't actually a theory at all. It's just a old saying that demonstrates a cat's ability to recover quickly...
