MelodyRhapsodical I don't believe we're in the Tribulation yet. I believe that'll come at the end of this present age right before Christ and ressurects his faithful followers. It says such in 1 Thessalonians, if I'm not mistaking.

sid556 I have read the bible and the revelations and many books on this subject. Back in the 60's and early 70's it was easy to think that we were on the end of time. Now it seems even more so. I am curious to hear your thoughts.

wifeofharvey I think we well could be, but whether we are or not I think we need to be prayed up, prepared. I think I need to live as if Christ is coming in ten minutes. Even if he doesn't come for 100 years.

steerpyke I am asking this in all honesty and not just to stir things up. If the Bible is seen by many as the infallible word of God, how do you justify so many different versions?

I am wondering if the show is going to be over soon. In the last episode Jonas faked his own abduction, three of the unit members were locked up, one went missing, and Brown joined the CIA and was assigned to look for Jonas. I...

MelodyRhapsodical I use the New King James Version and the King James Version. The former because it's much easier to read and to understand and the KJV for the writing. Though any version should do, I always use my lexicon and my Greek and Hebrew translation books, so I can...

susieq223 Hi, Tim. Welcome to myLot. When I was in college I studied with a Revised Standard Version and that is still my favorite, because I know where to find things in it. I like the KJV for the poetry and still like to read Psalms in it, as well as the Christmas...

HsuYinFung I personally prefer the KJV and believe it's the most trustworthy version. I have compared other versions and read from a lot of them but I feel the most comfortable with the KJV. If I'm choosing another version to read from it's usually NASB or ESV.

suspenseful In Genesis 1 the Bible says, "in the Beginning, God created Heaven and Earth and the earth was without form and void." It then lists all the steps, HE took, right through the animals where it is mentioned, "after their kind." In no way, it is mentioned that...

its-logos-plus-logic ...insanely, this is my favorite topic. I love science! And it does not, regardless of popular notion, support the 'theory' of evolution (as to origins). Many well meaning folks try to compromise and say the days of creation were thousands of years long.....

Drumman Evolution is a scam. At least Darwin's version of it is. If two people have a child then that child will be genetically similar to it's parents. In effect, it will have evolved into a combination of the two. If two monkeys have a child it will never, ever be a...
