Is Paranormal Activity a real story?

A friend of mine told me that Paranormal is really a true story based on a couple as shown in the movie.But I was really doubting that and I don't believe in this stuff. What do you think.Is my friend told the truth to me.

zerocool1012 well its a movie after all and everything is scripted......but its was inspired from a real life video....shot by a couple....and that video is pretty real....and it was recovered from the police dept.!!!
