I read somewhere that she used many things from LOTR in her novels. I downloaded the e-book and started reading it. Already, I found many things...Dumbledore of course is a customized version of Gandalf the Wizard. They both have...

I have never read The Lord of the Rings. Maybe Rowlling really has referred to it, but as the world is communicative, the similarity is common and ordinary.
