| my activity | Taskr36 responded to a discussion called Is capitalism the answer? in politics. 2 days ago Dark_joey pretty well nailed it, but I'll put it into short simple terms. Capitalism did NOT fail. The failure was the result of actions that were not part of capitalism. The housing bubble had more to do with socialist programs and government involvement in mortgages and banks than the free market. | | Taskr36 responded to a discussion called How do I become more knowledgeable about politics? in politics. 2 days ago I think the first thing you may want to do, is read your country's constitution, or governing documents to understand some of the basics of how the government, and politics work in your country. Then you should look online to learn about your elected leaders. You can also look at the political parties in your country to get an idea of who stands for what. Personally I don't know that much about... | | Taskr36 responded to a discussion called Doctor who indentified bin Laden for us, in prison for 30 years. in politics. 1 day ago Obama should not ask for his release. He should DEMAND his release. If they refuse to release him, we should cut off ALL aid, not the piddly 33 million that congress just voted to cut. We should then assemble a team of specialists to jailbreak him and get him out of Pakistan, into the US, and provide him with a new identity and a good $25 million or so to start his new life. $25 million was the... | | Taskr36 responded to a discussion called Senate Dems Wage a War on Women's Wages in politics. 2 days ago You beat me to it on this one. The level of hypocrisy on the left is truly astounding. I remember when they ignored the fact that Obama paid women less than men. Now we see exactly how badly democrats pay women compared to men and still... silence. I'd be surprised if any major network, besides Fox News, even makes a short mention of this story. | | Taskr36 commented in a discussion called What exactly does "reproductive rights" mean? in politics. 3 days ago Actually, according to Obama's mandate, birth control MUST be provided to women for free with no copay at all.
Men do NOT get free birth control according to the mandate, only women so you're claim that they are making them provide the same level of service to men and women is wrong.
Who is restricting access to health services? Nobody is removing birth control from stores. Nobody is stop... | | Taskr36 commented in a discussion called What exactly does "reproductive rights" mean? in politics. 2 days ago Well the separation basically says that government can't force anyone to practice a religion, nor can it prevent anyone from practicing a religion. Religion should be considered in this because forcing them to provide birth control violates their religion. As such, there should be a religious exemption.
In Arizona they actually proposed a law, I don't know if it passed, that would force insu... | | Taskr36 commented in a discussion called What exactly does "reproductive rights" mean? in politics. 2 days ago The funny thing is, I am Catholic, and I disagree with the church's policy. I think the church should drop that policy as they have other outdated policies time.
That said, it's still the church's deeply held religious doctrine and neither I, nor the US government can force them to violate it. I don't even think they should have to explain that it's a sin. Muslims don't eat pork so any Musl... | | Taskr36 commented in a discussion called is our economy getting better? in politics. 3 days ago Jobs are always being created. Saying jobs are created is meaningless if we're losing more jobs than we're gaining. The same is also true if they are temporary holiday jobs like during Christmas. If I hire a babysitter tomorrow, I created a job. That doesn't mean the economy is getting better if 10,000 people lose their jobs the same day. | | Taskr36 commented in a discussion called Senate Dems Wage a War on Women's Wages in politics. 1 day ago It's all very simple. These scumbags don't really believe a word of what they are saying. They just want power, and they know how to play on people's ignorance to get it. It's no surprise that women like the ones in this situation are exploiting other women. As we all know Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are famous for exploiting black people under the guise of helping them.
