Should we recycle everyhting made of paper? in nature. 2 months ago You could recycle it I suppose, but I think the more sensible thing to do would be to collect it, dry it and then burn it in one of those places that I can't remember the name of in English. They burn trash, use it to heat water and send the water out so people use it for heating. | | Torunn responded to a discussion called Neobux. in make extra money. 2 months ago Not really a sucess story, but they've paid me every time, they don't have a lot of down-time and there's usually quite a lot of links to click every day.
I haven't tried to get any referrals though, so I don't earn more than what my clicks give me. I think you should try to get referrals if you want to be a neobux success :-) | | Torunn responded to a discussion called What type of camera do I need to take pictures of the moon? in digital camera. 2 days ago Lot of good tips from Owlwings. You can also try taking pictures before it is pitch dark. If you take pictures of the moon at dawn or twilight you get more light and not as sharp contrasts. Depends on how south you live I suppose, we have so long days up here in the north during the summer that it'll usually be some time when the moon is up while it's still quite light. | | Torunn responded to a discussion called The Doctor's Name in doctor who. 3 days ago Well, I hope it's not Rincewind. 'Cause it's such a stupid name :-)
I don't really mind secrets like that, it depends a bit how much they "promote" it. If they keep going on about it a lot and then never tell it get a bit annoying, but if it's just every now and then I don't mind.
| | Torunn responded to a discussion called Cheap airlines are really great. in travel. 2 days ago Some cheap airlines are good, some I think take it a bit too far. I don't mind airlines like Norwegian (the local cheap airline) but Ryanair takes it a bit too far for my liking. Fines if you forget to bring a printed ticket, no responsibility if they mess up the time but you can't come 1 minute late, giving airports other names to make them sound more central. I travelled with Ryanair from Sto... | | Torunn responded to a discussion called Neobux referrals issue in make extra money. 3 days ago I think the main problem with your calculations is that you can count on peole clicking every day. Not sure how they chose which referrals you get, but if it is just a random draw you might end up with a lot of referrals that don't click anything at all. So you should maybe check if there is some way of swapping inactive ones, and whether it costs money or not. | | Torunn commented in a discussion called Interesting German words, part 10: The chef's my boss! in learn stine1's interesting german words at mylot. 1 month ago Is there one in Germany too? Or have I mixed the German one and Austrian one?
I just heard about it on the radio today, they want to change the name to Fugging (possibly Függing, the presentator couldn't really talk German so he could have said anything) because they get so many stupid phone-calls. Possibly especially from the UK :-) Also, they possibly got tired of people doing it beneath t... | | Torunn commented in a discussion called Neobux. in make extra money. 1 month ago I've been thinking about but I decided against it. I've no idea whether I'll continue with the clicking or decide to do something else online to earn money, or possible find a full-time job (only 50 % now, wouldn't mind 100 %) and then I'm not sure I can be bothered. So I'll at least wait until autumn and see what happens. | | Torunn received a best response in the discussion Season H has started. by hvedra. 2 months ago I would if I could :-)
I think I'll make a plan for the summer, down-load sensible things like QI, Torchwood and Doctor Who so I've got something to watch when the channels here start the summer holidays and send endless reruns of CSI. I like CSI too, but reruns aren't that funny. | | Torunn received a best response in the discussion Interesting German words, part 10: The chef's my boss! by stine1_v3. 3 weeks ago We say "sjef" for boss and "kokk" for both cook and chef, both if you have it as a profession and if you have it as a hobby.
This of course can lead to some strange misunderstandings as we pronounce "kokk" as a certain word beginning with c which I'm pretty sure Mylot won't let me write, despite it being a quite common word for a male hen. Maybe I can write cockerel? Lets try :-) | | | | | | | discussions i've started | | A coupld of times a year the "normal" ads disappear from the screens here in Norway, and instead of ads for buying a new and better hairspray or the most fantastic deodrant of your life there's only... | | | | I'm sitting at the airport, waiting for my plane to Helsinki now.
