dreamhealer started a new discussion called Will you resolve to read more and go online less??? in reading.
In 2009 I am resolving to read more books in the belief that particular subjects can be concentrated in more detail than on the internet and focus the mind better. Spending less time on the internet is also better for one's health, with less eye strain and electro-magnetic fields for the body to contend with. Do you agree with this and if not, why not - I would love to know[em]happy[/em]

dreamhealer started a new discussion called Why did you become vegan? in vegan.
There is no one reason why I became vegan. The combination of reasons, such as health, animal welfare/ rights, ecological benefits, spiritual benefits, keeps me on the path. The thought of animals suffering in those dreadful factory farms, of eating the bodies of these sad animals, fills me with disgust. When will the majority wake up and smell the coffee? (so to speak). The figures on eco b...

dreamhealer started a new discussion called What do you think makes a healthy lifestyle? in health.

There is no one factor to this. Diet is an important one; despite many popular conceptions, that one must eat fish, etc, etc I believe being vegan makes a huge difference. It is possible to be a junk food vegan though, if all you buy is preprepared food, that can be heated up and eaten or just straight from the packet. The more prepared or manufactured food is the more it tends to lack energy a...

dreamhealer responded to a discussion called Do YOU TAKE BATH DAILY? in people.
Well that seems to be from one extreme to another! Once a day to once a week! Well it depends on various factors. On your local climate - cool to tropical, humid to dry. How active you are - the more physical exercise one takes the more sweat generated... surprise, surprise. Right now in the UK, temperatures are sub-zero. I tend to take a shower, every day or other day. One day in the mornin...

dreamhealer responded to a discussion called Do you believe in life after death? in religion.
Certainly there is life after death! Humans, animals, plants die. Their physical remains return to the earth, whence they came. As to the bible, it was written by various scribes, with various biases and 'takes' on 'God', the 'Divine', or 'Oneness' as I prefer to believe. Organised religion is an expression of the culture from whence it came. Even Christianity itself has many variations, can be...

dreamhealer responded to a discussion called Do You Prefer A Bath Or A Shower? in people.
Usually I would prefer a shower, as it's so much quicker. But once in a while it can be a luxurious treat to have a bath, especially when it has a whirlpool too! Then it's fun to throw a bath bomb in the water - to fizz away and give off a beautiful fragrance! Like you say, a bath can be relaxing and can be absolutely delicious to take with a lover!!! dreamhealer responded to a discussion called Ooooooohhhhh I got some enemies in Mylot...... in mylot.com.

It's makes one feel good to have a high rating, but I wouldn't want to get over obsessed with it. Generally I like to play nice, but now and again, if I get the feeling to speak out about something and horror of horrors UPSET SOMEONE, then I will! SHOCK, HORROR, SHOCK! In the final analysis, it's not going to make much difference money wise, unless you're out to deliberately upset and annoy, as...

dreamhealer responded to a discussion called Do you buy compact discs anymore or do you digitally shop for your music? in bought music from itunes.
Yes, I seem to be on the cusp. Don't buy nearly as many CDs as I used to. Notice they seem cheaper than they were and especially taking into account inflation. It is also nice to have something physical, to hold in the hand, with the pictures and blurb... Have downloaded a few MP3's that I've put on my computer media player. Was given a MP3 player for Xmas, but have never been ar*ed to get roun...

Couldn't agree with you more, on the research side; so much quicker and cheaper. I suppose it's finding the balance, personally I find it too easy to be glued to the computer monitor, not always reading or looking at stuff that is that educational or even that interesting sometimes!
