I know that most of the weight I carry is beacuse I am an emotional eater. I eat because I have a bad day, My hubby is cranky, If I am feeling stressed then I head for food. I found this online and thought it looked helpful.

I have not ever taken a diet pill. They scare me a bit. I also think that if we take a pill to fix it then we will never learn to deal with how we gained the weight. I am hoping that I can learn how to deal with my life and lose weight for ever. |

I am an emotional eater too. I eat to fix every thing and I have the extra pounds to show it. I am trying to learn new skills to cope with my emotions, like exercising for stress, or taking care of my self in hopes that I wount get to down. It has been a constant struggle for me since as long as I can remember. |

4000 calories is equal to one pound so it seems like it would take forever. 20 pounds really isnt that bad. It should come off naturaly from a few life style changes. I am horrible at counting calories so I am just trying to be more concious of the things I eat. I figure any little change might help with the 60 pounds I have to lose. |

I used to think it was easy when I was younger but it sure isnt anymore. I used to eat what ever I wanted and now if I walk by a cake I gain weight. I never believed it would be harder when I was older but it really is. The best time to lose weight is now, it will only get harder from here. |

I try for 8 8oz glasses in the regular day and I add 2 more if I am doing out side work or sweating hard. It is still hard for me to get what I think I need though. I was most successful when I filled a 2 liter bottle in the fridge and tryed to empty it each day. Just dont try to drink it all at once or you will be peeing for a while. |

I have always been frugal. When I was growing up we lived tight but we had it good. When I got married we were poor but happy. We are now a one income family of 4 and we live within out means. We are living better then a lot of people we know living on a lot more money. I am and have always been frugal and I am so glad I learned these lessons young. I have appreciated it all. |

I definately think that exercise is the way to go. Pills can be dangerous and what happens when you reach your goal and stop the pills, will all the weight come back on since you were depending on the pills? My Mom was on Phen-Phen and now she is seeing a heart doctor. |

Keeping busy is a great tip. I know that diets are easier when I am distracted. Maybe just having other things to do will help me stop thinking of food. Thank you. |
