Can a guy and girl just be really good friends?

I remember readind this somewhere ( i think it was Reader's dogest) that, "a guy and girl can be just good friends only if they find each other slightly repulsive". What do you say?

ingenue i think they can be good friends...chances are then one of them might have feelings at one point..but it still can be just goodfriendship if he/she doesnt say it whatever be the restraints. and sometimes the guy or a gal might not be each other's type...but...

Ok lets first discuss why we love the movie. I loved the chivalry of the 18th century duke! and how his quirky ancient romantic ideas are still one up on todays so called advanced generation. LOved kate too..perfect representation...
