Children of alcoholic mothers

I am the adult child of a mother who was an alcoholic. Unfortunately, she died on Thanksgiving 2005 when she was 44 of liver failure from cirrhosis - she basically drank herself to death. Now as a mother, I'm finding a hard time...

mandam00 I am also the step mother of a 9year old girl whose mother is an alcoholic. While we haven't had to deal with rehab, my step daughter has been subjected to seeing her mother beat her step father, she has moved house 4 times in the last 18 months and is now...
