Do you like Garage Sales? What do you look for at Garage Sales?

I love to go to garage sales. I don't normally go looking for anything in paticular. I normally buy clothing for my children.Small pieces of furniture, antiques, toys. If I see something I like and it is a good prices I will buy it.

I love garage sales! Lately I've been looking for small pieces of furniture that I could restore or redecorate to put in my house. I realized last year that a lot of stuff in my house is my landlord's and I'd love to get rid of it and have my own. I've lucked out.. got a few little shelf units and magazine racks that fit perfectly in my room. Garage sales, thrift stores, anywhere I can get new stuff for cheap or free, I'm so there!

I usually never go to garage sales with a particular thing in mind, I just stop when the sale looks interesting, and scan everything. I buy what I can afford that interests me, or when I find something I do need or want. Must admit tho, I have to curb myself, or I will come home with loads of stuff I dont need, want, or have room for LOL.

I do love them, but I don't go very often. It seems like when I try to plan everythng out and make a list of addresses where they are having a garage sale I go and don't find anything good!! So I wasted a whole bunch of time and didn't get any goodies =) So now I usually just go if I see one when I a driving around. I try to get my kids clothes there and usually let them pick oiut a toy if they are with me.

I absolutley love garage sales! I am also excited that garage sale season is upon us. I just wish that where I live had as good garage sales as where I used to live. I usually find myself buying alot of clothing and books. I also love to shop at thrift shops when it is too cold for garage sales, alot of people will take the stuff they would've sold to the thrift shops.

Yes Im another fan of garage sales and antiques. I usually look for really old toys and glass and jewelery at these places but especially at garage sales because alot of people dont even know what they are selling half the time. You no the old saying: One mans garbage, is another mans treasure!

I love garage and yard sales!! i go to them every year! actually i got half of my things for my son when i was pregnant at garage sales and yard sales. i got this swing for him for $35! its one of those swings that can swing front to back or side to side. he loves it!! go and buy it new and it would have cost me over $100!!

Yes!!! I look for books, antiquey things or cool looking country things to add to my house. I have bought jewellry and clothing at sales in the past. I also like to look for stuff that is new (still in the package) to give as gifts :-) Last year i boughtthe coolest snow man plate for my mom at a fairly large garage sale...she loves it!

We don't have garage sales very often around here, but when there is one that is close by, I love to stop by and browse. You know what they say, one person's trash is another person's treasure. There is a Goodwill 2 blocks away, so whatever isn't sold during the garage/yard sales usually end up there. More than likely, I'll end up at a thrift shop because yard sales are usually when I'm at work. Anyway, I usually pick up small decorative items or board games. One time, I bought a desk, which was such a bargain! I think that's about it for yard sales for me...not so experienced at haggling like my mother. She would get such great deals!

wow.. we don't have garage sale here in malaysia.. but.. i do long for one.. how does it look like? erm.. do you know what i will be looking for in such sales? home threatre maybe? or maybe hi fi.. something got to do with sophisticated device.. i'm sure interested in it.. haha... garage sale is something that we organize when we're moving out from house isn't it? i can't really remember what is it.. because i've heard of it.. but i never been into one.. owhz.. :)

I am not ashamed to say that I like garage sales because you can find alot of things that you might need for little to nothing. I like to go to garage sales to look for books and for things I can use around the house.

Well I usually just look for things to decorate my house with, camping stuff and cool toys for my son. This year however, I will be checking out the baby stuff! I cannot wait until they start. Soon! yay!

I ususally look for what I need, but I often come away with something else. Right now I need a metal dishdrying rack. I also need some cheap blenders. I keep breaking the plastic/rubber dishdrying racks because our dishes and pans are so heavy. The blenders I need for a variety of reasons. Papercraft for one and jewelweed for another. Earlier, I bought my clothes for work at a garage sale. There is always something at a garage sale (townwide ones) somewhere that I've never seen before. Fun topic
