With the shootings at Virgina Tech the gun control people are comming out and want more gun control laws. The students who reportly did the killings purchased the gun legaly. He entered a no carry zone carrying a gun in an area where no one else had a gun ("when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns") except the police. How would new gun control laws have prevented this? What could have prevented this tragity? Perhaps a right to carry would have? We know that in the Pearl High School shooting one student was killed and several were wounded. The Assistant principal chased him down and held him using a gun, that he had a permit to carry. With the gun held to the students head he said he could see that the students was scared of dying. I have been told by many securty experts that a cheep burgler alarm is placing the NRA (National Rifle Association) sticker in you window. Most criminals will avoid such homes because of the danger of being shot. The second amendment of the Bill of Rights (written for the Citizens and not the government) the individualhas the right to own and posess a firearm. Firearms are one of the most regulated products in the country. Do we need more gun control?
