How long do you think you could live if you were nailed to a cross?

It is believed Jesus hung for 3 hours on the cross - How great is your love for other people..How about for people who hurt you, ridicule you, call you all kinds of name? Jesus died not just for those who would appreciate His death..He died for all ..

I have been wondering if I would have the same stamina as Jesus did? I wonder how long I could survive nailed to a cross or if I would have the courage to die for Jesus and open my hands to receive the nails in my hand to save souls from hell? I say I love Jesus..but wonder..when the time came to stand for what I believe would I run or would I stay?

i think i can last till the last drop of my blood is drained in my body.but for sure its really not that easy.even the pain itself is really hard to stand for just even just a few minutes.Jesus really did suffer a lot to save hus his beloved children...

I agree the pain itself would send us into a state of trauma and shock..No price was too great..For His love for us was and is Infinite;)+

Jesus is very a strong person and I am not as strong as him.Honestly I dont think I could survive like he did.I dont even like a small cut so I can't imagine going through it.

When the church was very new many Christians were tortured. They were sent to the lions in the coliseum as entertainment. As the church was tortured it grew. I believe that before Jesus returns we will be enduring the same thing again. Jesus gave the Christians of that time the endurance that they needed and I believe He will do it for us. He promises to give us what we need when we need it.

I think I would probably die pretty quickly as I do not think that I could take the pain of being nailed to the cross. I probably would not have the strength to overcome being up there. I would not die right away but it would not take long . Jesus was very strong and certainly suffered tremendously but he did it for us and we should be thankful to him. He is much braver and stronger than me.

you know, i never dare to ponder that question ...it's too hard to admit the truth. I don't think i could be that strong...i think i may have given up while bearing on the cross. It's a shame to reveal that...or at the part at being scourged...it's too painful.

I understand how you feel. I cannot think of the crucifixion without internalizing it and thus feeling deeeply inside me the sorrow, anguish, pain and torture our Jesus felt;)+

I don't know too on how long I can survived. But I'll try for the greater benefit of humanity, if proven ha, not on hearsay only. And I think I will feel too the greater love and truth of the Lord when the right time will come to sacrifice. And by that time, I think I'll be ready to embrace my calling. Have a nice day LittleFrans! And I hope you like the comment I lef on your profile! Have a blessed day! (^^,)

I would not be able to live as long as Jesus. He really paid the price for our sins!

I know I could not have lasted as long..I am a weakling when pain is concerned..I think I would die of fright as they are pounding the nails in to my hand.. I faint with blood..It would be all too much for me to bear;)+

Jesus gave up his life at the right time. He didn't just die. If he had lasted as long as those crucified usually did his legs would have been broken and a prophecy would not have been fulfilled. Something else we are miss led about is the tree. All the pictures show the cross as being squared off but it wasn't. The cross branch was nailed to the upright post. This adds to the torture that Jesus went through if you think about the shoulders being pushed forward and the arm back.

Fortunately, the Romans respected Jesus' faith as a Jew, and ended hs duffering by killing him with a spear, before sunset and the beginning of the Jewish Sabbath. God would not expect you to bear the same adversities as Jesus, so try not to worry too much about the Biblical stories, just live a good life. All the best.
