we got to keep our rescued puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I had to put it in all caps because I swear I'm shouting from the top of the buildings over this one!!!!!! Literally, last moment and in a whirlwind we were all given the opportunity to purchase the dogs we had for $150 (1/2 the price she sells them for) AND for those of us who didn't have the money immediately to use, the group lended us the money. The whacked out woman that had them gave them a bad time and told the authorities she would only let us keep them if she met EACH of us who was fostering them and we signed papers that they were purchased from her, etc. I said I'd jump off a small building if that's what she wanted, so he didn't have to go back to her. Let me tell you about the experience! Her house is horrendous. Delapitated old farm area, smelled like Lord only knows what. The sad part is, I honestly do think she loves animals of all types and thinks she can truly care for them but she doesn't have the physical ability to do so in a well enough fashion, nor does she have the funds to do so properly. She did get 4 "breeders" returned to her that she would not sell. Which sadly enough means she will continue to do what she does until once again shut down and hopefully this time the right way and before she does too much damage. I never got home until after 11:30pm last night, taking care of the "business" of this and spent literally hours on my feet taking care of it (not an easy feat for me as I'm suffering from the effects of cancer and damage to my bones which keep me from standing, walking or sitting for long periods). But the end results were so worth it! I want to thank each and every one of you who kept me in your prayers over this. I KNEW God would come through for me, as he always has, and that whatever he planned would have to be best. I couldn't imagine He would see these puppies going back as the right answer but if that was what had to happen I had to accept it. As I type now the little brat is barking away at the cats because he wants his puppy chow that they're stealing! LOL Thanks again to all who kept us in your prayers and helped with suggestions!

In fact, I wanted to upload a picture of a toy bone. I'm at work at the moment and the connection there is lousy today, so I couldn't do it. Tell him, he gets it later, when I'm home, OK?

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. It sounds great. I am so happy you got to keep your pooch. It is amazing how they can wiggle into our hearts. I hope that every one is watching that woman and the second anything goes wrong she ends up in jail. The fact that she is getting money out of this awful, but at least some animals were saved. When is the baby shower?

That is such wonderful news that you are able to keep your puppy and not pay the full amount that woman was charging. It is great to hear such a happy story. There is no way any animal should go back to that owner. That would be sinful for her to take those pets back when she does nothing to take care of those wonderful dogs. I wonder why she had so many to begin with. I am sure the puppy will be very happy to know he gets to stay with you and be in your nice home.

Thanks. He seems quite happy again. He actually was shaking when he was there, even though I had him wrapped up in a blankie and holding him. It was like he just knew that this place wasn't for him now that he experienced how dogs should really live. I've never seen him shake before and I knew it was a sign! He shook like my little chihuahua!

Check your gmail :) This is so lovely. Thank you God for answering our prayers. Slap those cats for me. In my house, my husband scolds our dog for eating cat chow. It's the ancient battle. (Mostly between cat and dog lovers!) I forgot, did you name the puppy?

Yes, we named him the minute he came to us! LOL His name is Charlie. Word about the cat food... mine love it more then dog food too but I was told by the vet that it's not good for them because of certain content AND the fact that it is literally 4x the amount of calories as dog food! So it definitely will cause obesity in the dogs! So if you can break the habit, try to!

Glad you loved it. I never thought I would find one so perfect with both the words "baby" and with the little dog on it too. And I thought it was funny.

That is great to here :) I've so happy for you. See you held out and did things right and it worked out for you. Nice to know that it can happen that way. Sounds like he is happy to be there with you as well. I'm really glad to hear this because I was hoping you wouldn't have to give him back. That woman doesn't deserve to have any of them back in my opinion.

You're so right. Doing the right thing in the end and doing what I knew was truly "right" instead of lying proved to be the right way in the end. As for her getting any of them back... I am very torn about this woman. I could tell she loved her animals. I really could. But she is disabled and on a very low income. These reasons alone made it so she couldn't properly care for the animals and the animals were suffering. Hopefully she learned a lesson from this, although from what I've been told she won't as this was not the first time she has been raided. Sadly she's gotten out each time and I have no clue why. She does have her breeder dogs back and will obviously do this again but hopefully she realizes that there are certain rules to abide and certain levels of care that these animals deserve.

If she's been raided before I seriously doubt she'll learn her lesson. Sad I know but at this point there isn't much you can do. We can hope she did but I wouldn't hold my breath. I just hope that if she's raided again they can make it stick and make sure she doesn't get the dogs back again.

Congratulations winning your new baby! He doesn't realize how lucky he is to have you as his mommy. God knows the best place for Charlie was in your home, that's why he made this happen. Best of luck to you and your family!

Thanks. I have to say, once again I finally put my hands up in retreat and realized that this is what I should have done in the beginning, just pray that God would do right by these creatures. Sadly, I honestly do think the woman loves the animals. I really do. She just doesn't have the money or the ability physically to do what she has to in order to keep them the way they need to be kept. So keep HER in your prayers too, as she deserves to be loved and love her little furry friends but has to realize she's not doing them any good by making them live like this.

Thanks. I knew how many people were praying for us and I have to say... once again I was a big DUH... didn't let GOD take it and have the belief I needed that HE would see to it they were ok.

Thank God!!!! I have been so worried. Hopefully they close her down before too long, for the sake of all the poor animals who went back. What they must be thinking. Congrats!

Thanks. I was sleepless for nights, just wondering what we could do that we hadn't. I guess leaving it in the hands of God was the answer because he too didn't want these creatures to suffer. Now hopefully the woman will realize her wrong doings, although from the looks of her house it will be very, very hard for her to change.

Congratulations that you get to keep your foster pup, that is wonderful news. I was one of the people who told you to fib if that was what it was going to take, but it's nice that it didn't have to come tothat but you had a happy ending, anyhow.

Thanks. I thought long and hard about the fibbing part... and I may have done it had I thought I could get away with it. I will say that out of the 29 dogs that had to come back for her to "see the adoptive parent" and sign the papers, there were 3 people who didn't show up. I'm guessing that they had a feeling they couldn't do it and face losing their pups to her. I know that one of them is one that she said she was keeping as it is a female pup that she wants for breeding. I'm wondering if the person ever showed up with it.

That is great I am glad your prayers were answered, it is always nice seeing someone who is actually happy to become a new pet owner, there are so many pets out there that have bad homes and are abused, I am sure the puppy is thankful you got your home to come too, take care

That's great for you and the puppy! I adopted a rescue dog. He was about 6 months when I got him. When he was removed from his previous home, he was malnourished and had Parvo. He pulled through, but hates crates now (they remind him of all the bad stuff he went through). Rescues can become such great dogs. Glad to hear you can give the dog a life it deserves.
