Insulating An Older Home Today!

The workmen came today and insulated our home. Our home was built in 1948 so naturally, it didn't have any insulation in the outside walls. We finally have the opportunity to have it done. I'm so please. The guys drilled a whole in the top of the siding and another one about mid way down. After the hole is drilled they insert the nozzel on the machine that pours the insulation into the wall cavity. Then they plug the hole with a cap that seals it up again. I know it sounds silly, but the house already feels so cozy. I'm sure going to enjoy opening my cooling bill this summer and see the great savings. For those people who have had your house insulated, did you eventually see a difference in your electric bill? Do you think it helped insulating your home?
