Do You Like to Listen to the Radio While Riding in Your Car?

I certainly do. My son and I were driving down the road on our way to town yesterday and I turned my radio on to my favorite gospel station. They started playing some of the older gospel songs that I have known for so long but they have added a little bit more of upbeat to them. But the words were still the same and I just loved it! I got to tapping my foot that wasn't on the gas pedal, tapping my steering wheel and singing along and my son was tapping along in the back seat. I got so happy I thought I was going to float through the ceiling of my car!! I get so happy sometimes when hearing the songs I love on the radio that I get to shedding happy tears driving down the road. If it gets to be too much for me I'll have to turn it off so I can drive safely. I love the old songs that are Southern Gospel and Traditional Gospel but there are some newer groups in Southern Gospel that I love to listen to also. It just brightens the trip anywhere you are going to have some good gospel music playing on the radio!!

I normally listen to country music when I am in the car. I find it very soothing. If my partner rides with me we will listen to rock sometimes.

My husband likes jazz and other types of music too. If he is in the car with me we usually listen to the kind of music he likes.

My daughter likes country music too and every once in a while I will listen to it also.

yup we usually listen to what my mom wants to hear and when i wait for her in the car while just doing her things, i listen to my favorite station. but there is a radio station in spanish we both agree in listening to. problems my mom has with my dad and me with feeling down a lot. we listen to the therapist and kinda know what to do.

I need to borrow some of that joyful aura you have going on! I love to listen to the radio when I drive, and when I'm in someone else's car it does distract me when they don't play their radio. : )

I'll be honest, when my husband plays the station he likes I get very bored. He likes a station called National Public Radio. They play some music but it isn't the kind I like and a lot of what they have is politics which I can't stand.

Oh no! I know what station you're talking about. He should put a CD player in the car so you can listen to something else on your head phones while he drives. Thanks for the best response. : )

When I use to drive I loved to listen to the radio or put in a tape. it calms me down. Since I had my son I have been to nervous to drive. I pray I get over this soon.

I hope you will feel better soon. Maybe you can play the calming music at home before you try to drive and that will help some. I hope so.

Sometimes. Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for certain music. Other times I just want quiet...especially when I'm driving home. :-)

Yes I do. I just love listening to my favorite music while driving it actually makes me a better driver. My granpa was the same way you are he loved nothing better then traveling down the road listening to his gospel music and he'd be tapping his foot and singing and everything he even ran a red light once because of it. Well, may god bless you with the music you love everytime you turn your radio on in your car. It feels good to be happy and it just makes the day better.

Thank you very much for that sweet story. I always love to hear things like that and to know other people feel the same way I do about gospel music. Other types of music are fine but to me there is just nothing to take the place of gospel.

I listen to music all of the time. My youngest will tell you to turn on the radio if we are in the computer room. She loves to dance.

I always listen to the radio every time i driving my car. I usually drive by myself and alone. so i listen to the radio. I can get so many information from that and listen so many new or old song. We can get a lot of information from radio and i enjoyed to listen to the radio. Driving with a little dancing with my hand sometimes clap my hand. Really fun with that.

yes I do! it keeps one awake. and sometimes that means it keeps one alive. wonder what gospel song it was that you were listening to that brought those happy tears to your eyes. I guess songs to praise God and to remind us of God do evoke strong emotions. I love "what a friend we have in Jesus' cos the words are so powerful and true.

It depends on my mood basically.but listening to the radio while driving at times refreshes my mind and also i can hear some of my favorite songs.also i get to hear some of the old tracks that i cannot find anywhere.so i find it really amazing to hear radio while on the move....

I wouldn't have it any other way, unless I have a guest in the car. I have my favourite station on all the time and it does get me happy and singing along and tapping the steering wheel. What I don't like is when my 14 year old daughter is with me and starts punching the buttons to check other stations. Then she finds some loud song she likes and cranks up the music. THAT makes me crazy!

Yes, I like listen to the radio while driving very much. I like to listen to the radio not too loud, so to create a nice musical background while driving and chatting with friends or relatives in my car.

I love listening to music especially the oldie stuff!! I also like to listen to some Gospel although I had using headphones. I'd rather listen to it out in the open on the radio or a cd. LIVE IN PEACE

Yes, I love the radio. And I love the people on my radio station; they are funny, down to earth, family oriented...and just great people!! Sometimes I like listening to them talk more than the songs, but I still do love the music they play.

Hello! I love listening to the radio when driving my car. Sometimes I listen to some radio stations but often I prefer listen to my own CDs, which first burned on my computer. My favourite performers are Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and favourite music is trance, techno, electro, dance. It really better to drive when you hear something what you like very much. It getting I feel better and relax. Last month I bought a new car radio (with special remote control, I'm very pleased with it :-);-) I could't live without music.
