It would really depend on what I'm reading. I divide my reading material into two books. One group would be for the "academic" stuff, and the other would be for the books that I just want to read for fun. I guess the latter could be called books for "light reading" or something like that. The "academic" books that I have aren't really required by my college professors, but I feel as if I need to read them anyway, because I know that they will help me out someday. Some of the books are also motivational books, self-help books, you know stuff like that. I have read so many books about how to study better and stuff like that, I can't even count them. I always feel better and more knowledgeable after reading those kind of books.

I read for pleasure, and in the process I get knowledge too. As much as some people like to play football or tennis so much so do I enjoy reading. And the bonus is that it enables me to get into discussion regarding various topics. And I don't feel left out. So, in effect reading makes me talk more about academic stuff.

I think it depends on what I'm reading. If I'm reading my Accounting school books then my answer will be yes, but if what I'm reading is a romance novel then it's no.

Not really because the books I read aren't necessarily books that would be considered "smart books." Lol I'm really into chick lit. But it does make me feel good that I am reading and increasing my vocabulary. Just because it's chick lit doesn't mean that it's not good to read it. So I guess I feel a little more academic, but not much lol. Either way, it's fun!

It really depends on what i'm reading! If i'm reading Shakespeare or somthing like that for my studies then yes but if i'm reading a Vampire novel or something like that which i would choose myself then no. Then again if i read an interesting article in a magazine that i feel i have learned from then i do.

It depends on what I read. If it's something school related or just something I felt like studying on my own, then I guess I feel a little academic. Even when reading fiction and analyzing them for fun, I feel that way again ;) And according to my English teacher that noone reads anymore so in a way it makes me feel slightly smarter XD
