How close do you feel to your mylot friends?Are they family?

I have been on mylot for 2 months.
I have found myself becoming very attached to some mylot users.
I think some of you will see yourselves here.
I have some that feel like sisters,brothers,cousins,and
one sweet lady that I have decided to virtually adopt as my daughter.
She lost her mother at a very early age but now she has a mom.
I have another mylot user whom has become my special Angel.
Then my mylot sisters from Canada,Austraila,Scotland,USA.And cousins from all the different countries but my favorite crazy male cousin from is from Scotland.
I find to say friend isn't enough as these people have seen me through a very difficult time of my life.
I may never meet my mylot family members but I hope to.
What do you do?
Do you stay objective?
Do you become virtually involved with others here?
Have you made some part of your family?

I do have a few new friends here on mylot. Those people have my private email and we correspond and help each other. But I have so many online friends that I have acquired from so many different ways that my email box is buzzing all the time.

I was really surprised when I joined this site, to find so many really lovely people and soon found friends. It is often very difficult to remain objective though, particularly when you get involved with your friends on line.

My online friends are mostly nice and politely people.Normally,we din't chat much about personal life unless if it in a discussion thread.Therefore i only know their cyber personality..I would say some of them are really friendly .Thou so,we are not that close as i seldom come to Mylot.

Oh yes I must say that with some of my friends I have met online with mylot I feel very close to and feel that they some of my friends are exceptionally close to and I hope to be able to meet up with them very soon, I have friends in America,England,Scotland,Switzerland and if I did not have these friends that I feel like family with it would of been very hard for me as well to get through some days. Yes I have become virtually involved with a lot of my friends and some do feel like family to me.

There are some people on mylot that I have learned a lot about through their discussions. I look forward to hearing from them and writing to them too. I feel close to many here. Yes, like a family. I know if I really need an honest opinion or advice, I can get it from some of my friends here. I enjoy being here.

Well I have been on here a week and 2 days and haven't become really close to anyone yet. There is one person on here I know and she is like family to me so that is the only person so far.

I have met some terrific people here, some I have gotten close too. I have talked on the phone with one friend, I exchange emails with a few others. I have done some IM chatting with another lady from around the world. Its hard to find time to chat with her, her time is the opposite of mine. You really do get to care about people from mylot, we can get to know each other rather well.

Today seems to be turning into "myLot Friends" recognition day. I do think of my friends here as very good friends because we choose each other. I am stuck with a family that don't mean to much to me so I think I'll just keep them as friends.

I couldn't agree more. There are several people here on myLot that are like my family, and they are from all over the world. That is one of the best things about this site.

I do envy you :P
Though I enjoy the interaction at myLot, it's hard for me to visualise that mylot friends as part of my family. I may know some friends in my few weeks with myLot but it is still too early for me to become virtually involved as I am not really active and fulltime in myLot.

A few years ago we were having penfriends. Now, because of technology developments we havebecome lazy even to write letters and develop fiendship. Now, with mylot, yahoo mail we are developing the old good habit. I feel happy when I discuss with the members of mylot and yahoo mail. Though I have not seen their faces, I like to discuss thing through mail. When I feel lonely, these discussions change my mind. This is called closeness.

I know exactly what you mean. Some of the people I have met here are very dear to my heart. I would love to meet them some day and spend time getting to know they and their families much better.

Ray as you know I have made a few my Family you being one of them
There are a few on here that I feel so close to and that I will not anyone on hurt
We all stick together like a Family I love my Friends on here I laugh with them and I cry with them
I cried with you Sweetie and I am still hurting for you as I know what Pain you are going through
That is how close I am to my Friends on here

I think its great on mylot and we have become like a family here. Im always interested in if someone is having a problem I hope they are doing okay. And if your having a tough time this is the place to be. The people on here make you feel good again. And thats important.
