A sudden, unexpected death would be hard to deal with. My husband and I had a lot of time to talk and work things out. His illness drew us much closer. I am glad, though that he is no longer suffering and I do have many reasons to keep going. Thank you for sharing your story.

I agree that death of a mate is easier than divorce/relationship ending. I have been through both. With death there is no lingering bitterness. Because he was ill so long, we had a lot of time to talk and plan about afterward. I have many good memories and I plan to do many things for the rest of my life!

My husband is definately in a much better place and is no longer suffering. For that I am very glad. I also have a deep faith that I will see him again.

My husband was elderly and had been sick a very long time. I can't imagine what you must have suffered. I, too, have found it good to be able to talk about him.
