Has anyone ever done a detox diet or program?

I have just started a 10 day detox diet using Blackmore's supplements. There's about 4 different things to take (one of them tastes so gross!!), and there's also recipes to follow. I'm not allowed to have red meat, yeast, dairy (so no cheese or chocolate!). But it's not so bad so far, my boyfriend is doing the dinners with me (but can eat what he wants through the day) and we had a really good chicken stir fry last night. Have you ever done one? How did you feel? I'm feeling a little sluggish at the moment, but luckily I don't drink caffiene so no withdrawls from that :)

Good for you that you are having a detox diet. I really want to undergo one as well as I feel that I need to cleanse my body. I have heard of fruit diet but I have not have the time to do that. I hope one of these days I will be able to have a detox diet. Goodluck to you :)

thanks :) Hopefully you can find one that fits in easily to your normal routine. I felt that I needed one after eating so much chocolate at Easter lol

I have not done one of these, but my husband has. There was - from memory the 4 different ones. Stomach clear, bowel clear, liver clear, intestine clear. He had to have one with breakfast, 2 with lunch, etc. He found that it gave him a 'good clean out' but it did make him a bit sluggish through the day, to start with, as it got rid of the toxins from his body. Good luck with it.

that sounds like my one, it's supposed to support 5 organs while it detoxifies you :) I almost forgot to take my lunchtime pill today lol

How did you go with this one juicemilk? Do you feel any better for doing it or were you tired and/or sluggish through the entire detox? I have been considering doing one, and have been thinking of Blackmores as well, but have to see the doctor first before making a decision. You see I have a minor heart condition, and take medication for it, so want to be sure that there will not be any side effects, adverse effects or clashes with my medications. If I do go ahead, then it will be in a couple of months, just before we go on holidays as during that time we will be eating fairly healthy stuff. Well I hope it will be fairly healthy food as my husband keeps telling me he is going to catch heaps of fish and so on. He plans to fish all the way up the coast from Sydney to Townsville and that will take us about 5-6 weeks I guess, so if he does any good then it will be fish for us every evening meal. Also with the detox I am not too sure how I will go not being able to have dairy products. I will survive without the chocolate but not so sure about the milk and cheese, not to mention coffee. Drinking heaps of water will not worry me, because generally I do drink about 8 glasses of water a day. I also drink at least half a dozen coffees a day, and not having that could be the worst thing of all.

It went pretty good! Lunchtimes were the hardest I think, a sandwich just isn't the same without cheese! And some of the bread you have to eat isn't very nice. Dinner's were pretty good, as you can still have chicken and fish. Not having chocolate or cheese was probably the hardest thing for me, and if you're hungry in between meals then you really have to think about what snacks you should be having. It was only in the last few days that I really noticed a change in my energy levels, and a friend at work said my skin looked much brighter. I lost about 2.5kg while doing it as well, so am trying to now eat a bit healthier (with chocolate and cheese added in of course!), so we;ll see how long that lasts lol

oh I know that's annoying, I'm making sure I drink my 2 litres of water a day and I have to go to the toilet all the time!
