A place we called home

You are right! Indeed, there is no place like home. There is no other Philippines. Though the country is tumbling from one disaster to another (both natural and man-made) we are still able to survive and the spirit of the Filipino lives on deep inside all of us! There are so many positive and beauty here in the Philippines just all waiting to be tapped. If we will only be complaining and doing nothing, we are adding burden to the country. We must act now. Do something! Be productive. Like posting here at myLot -- at least the country could earn small dollars through us here hehehehe.

I think this is not only true to Filipinos but to other nationalities as well, especially if these people would also be migrating to other countries. We feel like that because of the fact that the homeland where you have grown up will always be considered as the place you call home. Regardless of its beauty, we feel the need to go back to where we originally belong because in that place, we already had build relationships with other people in our hometown. The first time we have learned to open our eyes, it's this place and these people whom we dealt with in our life. :)

That's very true! There is no place like home. Although many of us do dream of working abroad since the opportunities in here are quite few and trying to live in here is quite difficult but still many of those that is working abroad still dreams of living here since this is really hoem to us pinoys no matter what. I might be given the chance to work abroad but I still plan of returning here and maybe die in here in my country where I was born and lived most of my life.

nice one capssy07 there's no place like home. Not to mention the warmth and hospitality of filipinos. And we are family oriented people. I maybe living abroad but my mind and heart will always be in the philippines and my family out there!
