Don't you think Boracay is getting too commercialized? One of the tourists even said that it is sometimes irritating to see many vendors there. I think there are better vacation spots aside from Boracay in the Philippines. There is Camiguin, Pearl Farm, Palawan.., etc. What's your favorite vacation spot in the Philippines.

We were to proud of this tourist spot that we forgot to take care of it!! Now you can see some trash near the shore!! and lots of vendors in the area and lots of houses near the shore which is prohibited. kinda reminds of cinnabar island.

The Pearl Farm - Island Garden City of Samal in Davao
well,if boracay is getting too commercialized, i would like to invite you to visit the Island Garden City of Samal here in Davao, also known as IGACOS. All these sports like Treeking, Caving, Swimming, Water sports, Biking, Mountaining Climbing can be done without any risks. Most popular places include the Pearl Farm, Hagimit Falls and the Bat Cave.

Never been there but my friends say that the quality of the sand there is incomparable to other beaches in the Philippines and perhaps to the world. I would someday like to see Boracay hopefully its not too commercialized as it really destroys the natural beauty of the place if they over commercialized it. Palawan would be my next choice since it it not so exploited when it comes to the place they somewhat preserved the natural beauty of the place.

I guess Boracay is nearing its capacity to accept commercial establishment and has already reach an initial saturation point to the detriment of its tourism appeal. Its about time that the place come up with an island-wide long-term development plan to address this concern from some tourists. Although Boracay is our world-class destination, there are certainly other beautiful spots as well in the country. And definitely these places could also attract good number of tourists if just given the right formula of development. I hope we could develop around 5 or more other places marketed just like Boracay but with advantages that Boracay could not offer anymore -- less crowded and less commercialized tourist spots.
