Do you take time to read the terms and conditions on sites before joining? I use to not read them ..now after DC..it's a resolution I have taken up.. What about you ..have you joined sites without reading completely all the terms and conditions??_+

hello, tell you something , i am about to start a discussion about it and I have to cancel it now, lol. I think it is better for us to read the terms and conditions no matter we are joining a site or signing a contract so that we will know our rights and liabilities there, although we may join it even we are not 100 % clear about that and it may not help if the site folded up suddenly,at least we know what can we do and what we cannot do in case something is going wrong.:

So Easy we are like minded..have you read the terms and conditions of this site which was revised on February 2007? They are all good...but the question is do you always read the terms and conditions..Every one of them??::)+

Honestly I did not read anything,I was too lazy to read,I would have got caught if there was a statement saying that it is not a paid forum and members will not get paid here. I think most of the members will not read it,some are just like me ,other may not want to spend a few minutes as they would like to get into the sites and earn money. This discussion is a good one :) hopefully with good responses.:))

Hi again..it's because I havent in the past read the Terms and Conditions..DC did on good thing for me..it awakened me to the reality that if we don't read the Terms and Conditions for sites we are joining we will know why things can happen.. This fellow who ran DC is brilliant ..he covered all the bases ..he put inside the forum one set of terms and outside another set..so those who looked while logged in some one set so when i brought up the terms I was blasted away..then I pointed out the terms on the main page..... I never knew there were two different ones..He knew very well he was deceiving people...for the fact that there were two sets of terms ..one inside and one outside!! People from first glance would not notice the difference but on reading it would have caught it right away!!!:)+

I have been in the Spring traveling, my computer just has to wait. I've been trying to decide what you say about DC I suppose I was in this site, but I've already forgotten about it.

I always read the terms and conditions-- actually, what I do is look for the part of the terms that contain the site's "privacy policy," because I wan't to know EXACTLY what they are going to do with my personal information-- who they will share it with, who they will sell it to, and where (if) there's an "opt out" clause for marketing preferences. I feel fairly certain that the volume of telemarking calls I get is tied directly to web sites with a "loose" privacy policy.

I agree with you that telemarketing calls come from sites that take information from us;)+

You know, most of the time I don't read the terms and conditions. They are usually written using very small fonts and very long. I believe it is deliberate so that people would not be able to read the whole thing and fall into their trap. I have got into a bit of trouble from my failure to read the terms and conditions before signing up.

Agreements - Terms and conditions.
I know that I should probably always be reading the terms and conditions before signing up for new sites but I really don't do it very often at all. I sort of skim them mostly. I think I pay a bit more attention to the privacy section because I don't want a site selling my information to an outside source. Who wants to have to deal with more spam right?
