is fate something that is inevitable or is it something that people came up with to explain events that they didn't want to blame themselves for?

Fate is used most often as the skape goat for the lack of effort on our part . Not willing to work hard enough , convenient , blame it on fate ! What indeed is fate ? I believe fate is what we create by our hard work . I personally have been rewarded with success whenever I have worked hard . Sometimes I lacked the effort and became lethargic and when results were not upto my expectation I did blame it on fate . YOu see it was the easiest thing I could have done and did it . But at the end of it all you have to be honest to yourself . You can not go endlessly blaming ill fate for everything in your life . Its better and much more enjoyable to take the resposibility for what happens in your life . Life becomes much more challenging , entralling and charming once you take it on yourself and put the fate illusion to rest ! Fate is something you make as you go along in life . So cheer up , life is waiting for you to paint a new picture ! With destiny its your date , Come on foget fate !

Ones fate is not man made but Godly. The sense is that you drive where the speed limit is 50 kmp at 100 kmp and you have an accident and then you have to face the consequences - you cannot blame your fate, this is man made fate.

I don't think it is something that people use as a reason for something so they don't have to blame themselves. I do however believe in fate, because meeting the love of my life could only have happened the way it did because of fate. There were too many unexplained occurances that day (we lived 1600 miles apart) that brought us together where we met, given two different time zones, totally different weather conditions, and the miles......what else could it have been but fate, because it didn't take us long to realize we were meant to be together.
