Family Crisis! What its it?

My mom just recently went to the emergency room last night because her legs were in so much pain. They checked her for bloodclots(DVT) which came out negative. Which is a blessing but they said that the pain is coming from somewhere. And that made matters worse of not knowing. SO anyway, the pain is in her lower back and shoots down to her legs and causes pain. Now I am a nurse and I can think of many things that it could be, but I would like your opinion on this and my worst fear is that it can be ovarian cancer and I am scared to death becasue she is so young. Did anyone ever have this problem. What was it. Please Help!!

Do you think it could be sciatica? Often times you get back pain and it shoots down the legs. Does your mom have an appointment to see a specialist?

Michele now you are scaring me as I have to go for an Hip Xray on Monday for the same thing
I have it in my right leg and I have been in pain for 8 weeks now I only went to the Doctor last week about it and today I received the Appointment for the Xray for Monday
I don't think it is ovarian Cancer though
With me it starts in my Leg and up to the Hip and if I sit in a wrong Position my Leg will lock and it is very Painful to straighten it again

I am so sorry to here that, please let me know what is wrong and also, the seacond comment right above you had a good point. I think that you shouls consider looking up it because my mom has all the symtoms of it.
