Linux - what is the best distro

What is the best overall linux distro?

That would be a matter of personal preference. The only way to decide would be to try several different distributions and see which one suits you the most. However, with the vast number available it would take a very long time to try them out, so try to select a few of the more popular ones. I found Vectorlinux to be a good system, and due to it's light content it loads rapidly. My favourite so far is Xandros Desktop, mainly because it has the ability to support certain Microsoft programs and I can use Microsoft Office with it.

I think it's all personal preference. I'm currently using Ubuntu, but it doesn't support wireless networks using WPA (not that I've noticed, anyway), so I'm almost tempted to switch. I kind of like it, though, so I don't know.

I think it is Ubuntu ....... It is the most user friendly linux I ahve come across ...... and moreover you can get your copy of ubuntu cd shipped to your address free of cost ....... https://shipit.ubuntu.com/login
