I like the two novels very much, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. For me, it is hard to choose which is more appealing or nice of the two. I like Harry Potter because it present something about magic which is of course one of my likes. I also like Lord of the Rings because of the history of how to fight the rings charm and to fight with evil. As of now, I cannot say which is best. Maybe later, he he he.

There's no comparing the two. Ones written as a kids book the other for young adults and up. potters characters are more colorful however they lack the depth of LOTR. In potter its all either black or white once they figure a character out in LOTR there's always shades of grey.

I think they are both wonderful collections. Harry Potter is more for the children the Lord of the Rings but they are both very good works. I have read all of them several times.
