How did you meet your significant other? was it romantic?

I am signle but I met my ex husband in a place called the Happy Hour in Westville Il it has long closed down

Ours too was an arranged meeting organised by our families. We met and talked with each other disscussed various issues and finally decided to tie the knot. Since then life has surely been very romantic and i have no regrets for my decision.

I met my boyfriend online at a singles site and even though I was dating someone else he asked me to a baseball game (I love live sports), I accepted and right off the bat we hit it off, laughing the entire time, I never watched the game he entertained me too much and then when the game was over he took me out to dinner, he is such a romantic guy and the next morning he sent me called me very early to tell me how much he enjoyed our date. I broke up with the other guy that very day and we started dating. We celebrated our year anniversary a couple of days ago and he is the romantic man I have ever met, he is always bringing home flowers or other things to me, calls me on the phone to just tell me he loves me, he is the most wonderful man I have ever met and I feel totally blessed.

We met at a pool hall and he came up to me and my friend and asked us if we wanted to play teams and i said sure and then we went to his house and kicked it for awhile and i spent the night at his house that night and we slept in the same bed and OMG nouthing happened. I was shoked. Usually if you sleep in a guys bed they will try to get some. and he was a romantic guy at the begining of the relationship. candles, music and what not..lol gave me butterflies. hehe

Mine is a little twisted so you'll get two stories in one! I met my first husband in kindergarten. He was the little boy that chased girls around the playground. Especially up the slide if they were wearing dresses! Twelve years later we started dating seriously. One day early on he introduced me to a friend of his. That was it, I didn't think much more about it. We got married after high school and did our best to make it work. After 3 1/2 years our marriage fell apart for good. Towards the end I'd gotten to be good friends with the friend he introduced me to. I'd go to him for advice on what I could do to fix the marriage and he'd talk to my husband about things too. After my husband moved out I started spending more time at the friends house just because it was hard being alone. Eventually more developed between us and from all the "hanging out" we realized we had a lot in common...6 years later we're still together!

i've met my patner in our school,he was texting my friend and courting her, but there were 2 of them who were courting her,and it was his friend too, but my friend chose his friend,by that time he has his girlfriend. But he likes to cheat, then I started texting him with nonsense stuff trying to be careful and avoiding him to fall for me,. But he still fell for me,and he still has his girlfriend,so we decided to keep are relationship secret,(i know that it's bad)i can feel that he loves me and he does't loe his girlfriend,so it was like almost a week when we were seeing each other secretly, he's with his girlfriend after school,and i stay up late in the school so i can be with him. Whenever someone see us he just tell them that i'm a friend. Then after a week the girl discovered that there's something between us,so he admit then, at first it's kinda embarassing,but we don't care as long as we love each other. It was romantic,and he proved to me that ever since I came to his life,he had change,he never cheated on me! I'm happy about that! Now we are together for a year and 2 moths..

Like a couple of your other responses, we met online, not at anything like match.com or singles site, it was a chatroom for police and fire! I had been going in there and had several friends I chatted with for years, this particular evening, I almost didn't go into chat, I had been studying all day, but later that evening I figured I go into chat and see who was online. He had never been into that chatroom, was 1600 miles away, and had stayed home cause he didn't want to shovel snow that day! After chatting in the room for a while, I finally got up the nerve (deleted it 4 times) and sent him a private message 'I like your sense of humor' and so it began! We ended up chatting for 6 hours that night, and 2 days later we were talking on the phone. A month after that first night he flew down to see me, spent a week with me. And when he flew in, I was pacing the airport, his flight was delayed!! lol We agreed that we would meet and spend time as friends, no pressure.......a month after he went back home, I was packing what would fit in my car, storing the rest, and moving 1600 miles north! We've been together 2 years and he makes me laugh everyday. Was I looking for love or somebody, No! I had been on my own for a year, going through divorce and didn't want another one! lol Until I met him! And in case you're wondering....he's the one in law enforcement, I was the firefighter! and on top of that....he's a Yankee and I'm pure South! LOL
