I'm fortunate to be one of those volunteers who received calls and accept donations during and after the telecast of American Idol last night. I was overwhelmed with the outpouring of support all over America! I'm glad to know from other discussions here that there are lots of fellow myLotters who joined and donated to this most worthy endeavour. There was a time that there were 1,000 calls waiting! That means, you guys, never give up and keep waiting until somebody answered your call. There was too much outpouring of support that the server was down several times because of the heavy volume of calls received. For those calls and contributions we were not able to accept, we apologize, although you can still donate online. In behalf of the children of USA and Africa, thank you so much!

Thanks for being the first to respond. I thought nobody is going to respond at all. But when I logged in today, not one, not two but three responded! Thank you so much! I'm glad I volunteered and even after the call we had to encode some paper works on those donations that we're not counted during telecast as the server was down due to heavy traffic of calls all wanting to make donations! I'm in the process of building friends here in myLot and so, can I invite you to be one of my friends here? Thanks.

Its nice to see that aside from giving people entertainment they also can help other needy people through the text messages coming in. God bless all those who have shared and gave a portion of their earnings for the needy.
