I always wanted to make my own bread but never found a recipe that I liked. The other day I went to a potluck and a woman brought her own bread with some eggplant pickles that she also made herself. I asked her for her bread recipe and it does take time to make the bread but it's a good recipe. I made the bread last weekend and I must say it was good. Do you have a bread recipe that is easier to make? Thank you. Here is the recipe I got: -8 mugs of white flour (You can use 1 mug whole wheat and 7 mugs of white flour) - 1 table spoon sugar -1 table spoon salt - 1 table spoon dry yeast - ¼ cup of oil (regular cup) - 3 ½ - 4 mugs water (very warm) Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Knead for 15 minutes. Cover with oil and let it rise in a warm place 1-2 hours (until the volume is doubled). Make many small balls, put on a clean towel and cover with another towel, let rise 10-15 minutes. Flatten balls the balls and cover again, leave it ½ hour. Turn on the ovwn on high heat: around 490 fahrenheit and cook the bread for around 15 minutes. You can also broil for a minute ot two at the end.

Thank you for this recipe. The easiest breads I know are using the bread maker, or buying self rising flour. It has an easy recipe on it. Water, butter, and flour.

You can also use it for dough. You can make yeasted rolles and pizza crust.

Thanks margieanneart. I'm going to take back my bread machine. I put it in the garage because I never use it in the kitchen.

Thanks margieanneart. You can use the bread machine for any bread recipe. Yes the bread machine is a great idea. Instead of kneading it yourself and let the dough rise, the bread machine will do all that!
