onion for fake fever???

I have never heard of this but I find it amazing that it would work. I guess that it must have worked for someone if there is a story about it. I wonder how bad it would smell and how long you have to leave the onion under your arm before your fever raises. I am sure that high school kids or college kids could answer this. I am curious to see what everyone has to say about this and if someone has actually done this.

Yep it works. Some of the seniors in my hostel had done it and it probably worked. Why you planning to try it?;)

Yes it is true and i had been doing that when i was in school i heard that from a friend and then when ever i need not to go to school i do the trick but i was caught one day i got onion smell from me:) then i never did tht again.

How about this: Splash yourself with water and go to the front of the fan and let it blow towards you. I bet you will be sick by the next day. Remember: do not wipe off the water droplets after splashing.

I have never tested it but i have heard of it. I hope the chemicals will make the temperature of body high. So we can fake of having a fever. Nice one. I have heard much of it but never tried it. I will not try it now because i am having my holidays now. When i will need holidays i will try it.

nah i have never tried it but i know that it works. Something that the onions smell increases your temperature ... i never needed to avoid school as i went to school on my own.

Well if that's true i've done things the hard way! I would get to school in one door and out the other! LOL! My, "I'm sick" stories, didn't work! Take care Lucky_witch.

I've never heard of doing that before... Maybe it's like when you eat Salt and Vinigar chips and you start to get hot and sometimes sweat wonder if doing that would be the same type of thing????? It must be a cut onion just like the way they make you cry your skin would react too, creating you to sweat it out...

It is true that if you put onion in your armpit then for small period of time, your body become hot like you have fever but yu must know that it not come in mercury thermameter althrough others also feel hot when they touchs you.

I have never tried it..but it does not sound like it would work to me. And some one on the net has a cure for fever of putting onions on the bottom of your feet. The best thing to do would be to try it, but I personally don't think it would work.

Hi. Yes it is true that putting onion under your armpit raises the body temperature, I have never tried it myself but have seen my friend, do it times and agian during classtests.

Well, if it doesn't work and you don't get sent home for fever, you can always get sent home for the smell! Yuck!

Well, that's cool. But i'm curious about will this cause any smell on body?! LOL But i guess i won't go to lie to someone that i got fever. Cause i'll be forced to see the Dr. I don't want my fib get exposed.
