Is it difficult to sell items on e-bay? I have some things around the house that I never use but, seems like some of the same items are already listed many times. I have a lot of books!

I don't sell anything on ebay but it is a lot of work, you may have to list them over and over again until they get sold, also you have to package and send them all out and know the proper postage, you also have to worry about getting paid, some order and never pay.

I have been both a buyer and a seller on eBay. I would recommend you do a little research on eBay to see what is currently a best selling item and go from there. Books often sell quite well so long as the postage rates are sensible.

I have bought things on ebay but never sold anything on ebay. If it is books that you are wanting to sell you might want to consider Amazon.com. I had a friend that was fairly successful with selling books on Amazon. There is a lot of good pricing help with your books at Amazon.

I have sold stuff in the past on Ebay, and I would advise you do your research before listing. I normally check to see if the items I have available was sold before and how much it was sold for etc before I list my items. I have never sold book, but have brought books. I usually buy educational books, and those seems to sell very well.

The first time is the hardest while you are trying to figure things out. I have been selling my used books on ebay and I have almost run out of books for now. Do a little research on what it will actually cost you to package and ship them so you can cover your costs. Then do a little more research and decide whether you should sell them individually or in groups (divided by genre, author, etc.) Include a photo, so people can see what you are selling and a good clear description. Read some similar auctions that have sold so you can get an idea what people are looking for in the descriptions. Don't get fancy, all you really need is the basic listing, free photo and sometimes a gallery photo and/or subtitle. ebay will offer you lots of options; but, the cost more and are not really necessary if you are just a casual seller and not a "store". Hope this helps.
