In a conversation, roles are always being played - a listener and a talker. So in your social or even personal life, are you more of a listener or a talker? Why are you comfortable with that role?

I do a bit of both. I can listen for as long as somebody wants me to and I can also talk for as long as I need to. I like balance and think life is all about giving. Give an ear to a friend with a problem and they will be comforted and get off their chest what is bothering them. Then share a few words when you need to get stuff off your chest. That's what friendship is all about, being there for each other. Brightest Blessings.

Nicely said darkwing. Indeed, from time to time we need to switch roles. And people who master both arts turn out to be good friends to others.

That's quite right. You have to give in this world to earn the take, huh?

i am a listener, always. i have always listened to eagerly and earnestly and my friends think i am very dependable and they would blabber out their hearts no matter what. i take pleasure in listening and advicing. i can keep secrets and will never betray anyone's trust. when comes to myself, i can hardly confide in all. i would rather talk out my heart only to a selected few. thank you.

that's a great asset of yours mimpi1911. i personally believe that the art of listening is much harder than talking. much more, keeping secrets is something that not everyone can do. not all people are gifted to have that discipline.

I am more of a listener than a talker. I am a good listener and I am comfortable being one. A lot of people tends to talk and seldom really listens with sincerity. For me, it's better to hear what the other person needs to say. And after that, I give what my thoughts or opinions are. When I talk, I want people to listen to me also. Sometimes I get pissed off when they don't want to give me time to talk. I always see to it that a good conversation is a two-way street, it's a give and take process.

It depends on the discussion and the people involved. I have listened to people who don't know what they are talking about or talk like they are smarter than everyone else. Those people are pointless to talk to, but others are easy to talk with even if we dont agree. I sometimes find it fun to talk to people like that. Knowing the subject matter is important.I've had some interesting debates with people.

In any occassion, I am always more to a listener. I like to listen to their conversation and if I feel like I want to add on, I just say what I want to say. Sometimes it is better to keep quiet so as to avoid misinterpretation.

I am be a listener more. Listenig carefuly to a talk is a good way to get more information about the talker coz the way they talk may reveal what kind of personality they are.

Depends on the situation..sometimes i could be a listener, sometimes a talker too..If i'm not in a good mood or there is person who share the problem,i become a listener..Mostly i like to be a talkener..from there,i will know who will give me their opinion, how they react to all my matters.

I'm more of a listener as I don't talk much. My friends say it's one thing about me that they really appreciate, because not only am I a good listener but I can keep secrets too. They feel that they can confide in me whenever they have problems. I start the talk sometimes when it's needed, and when it's expected of me.

I think I am both. I can be a very good listener, especially to a friend in need. And there are other times when I like to share my opinion, or join in on a conversation. I can learn a lot by listening. but I can also contribute by adding to the conversation.

I'm more of a listener than a talker. People have also told me that I'm a good listener, even if I don't talk or offer help or give my opinion. I will talk if I need to or if I'm spoken to, and if they ask me for my opinion, other than that, I'll sit and listen until they have stopped talking.

I am a bit of both actually. I am more of a talker when I am bored. My partner talks alot so I am often just sitting back letting him rattle on about whatever it is that he is in a mood to tell me. I actually like to listen to his voice. My daughter is also a talker so I often just sit and listen to her rattle as well. I guess I have to change my answer. I am a listener. I listen to several of my family membersas the rattle about different things.
