What the worst pain you've experienced?

I'm talking physical pain not emotional. So, what's the worst pain you've experienced and how would you describe it? One of the most painful things I've experienced was when I was stabbed - I'd heard previously that it feels like a hard punch but I've been punched plenty of times and being stabbed did not feel the same. I could feel how deep the knife went so I have to say that being stabbed feels like being stabbed lol

The worst pain I had ever experienced was when I got a muscle pull in my neck. I didn't sleep in a proper posture at night and thus I had to suffer badly for the next 3-4 days. I was unable to look in any direction except straight. It used to look so funny. All my friends at school used to tease me. It was really very painful. At one time I felt whether it would even subside, for it seemed like some sort of a curse.Phew!!

The neck's a pretty sensitive place - at least it went away.

Yah I couldn't imagine what being stabbed would feel like and I wouldn't want to. I guess the worst pain I have been through would be child birth, yah that hurt just a bit..lol..Second to that would be the pains I get in my stomach, they get so bad I get really dizzy and hot and I feel like I am going to throw up and sometimes i just can't move because the pain is so bad.

You sound like you are experiencing the same types of symptoms my daughter had. It took them a while but she was finally diagnosed with Crohns disease. She still has days when she is really ill from it, pain, vomitting, diahrrea, the lot. She has to be very careful what she eats to keep from triggering it but she isn't always successful. I hope they get you sorted out soon because acute stomach pain is nothing to be laughed at. Good luck.

I had a very bad fall one time. I broke my arm in three places and I dislocated my elbow. The three breaks didn't hurt half as much as the dislocated elbow. I was awake when they put my elbow back in place and I can't tell you how much that hurt. Don't dislocate your elbow, I did that twice and it wasn't any more fun the second time. That's Pain.

I've only ever dislocated my fingers but that wasn't very painful. I can't even imagine dislocating my elbow though - that sounds really bad.

It's surpising how easily these things can happen. We forget how fragile our bodies really are.

Ouch yeah I bet that was an awful, horrible pain, sorry you had to go through something so painful eckk. I'd say my worst pain was child birth---some women say for them its nearly painless and others say the pain was unbearable. For me it was bad, felt like my back was being ripped apart, I didn't make it to the hospital in time to receive any pain medication, so it was all natural. I feel pretty luck though, so far I have never broken a bone or seriously been injured, eh "so far".

No, honestly the labor pains only lasted a few hours, then about five minutes more once I got to the hospital.

Ohso sorry to hear you were stabbedhow did that happen? I have had a lot of pain...but I would say the worst pain was when I had my cervical dysplasia operation. They went in and burned off cysts with a laser. The pain was horrifying...and it took longer because I was stage three which is bad..I was crying...and came out a mess...it was horrible. They even asked me if I was going to pass out at one point...because apparently people do from the pain....

I experienced my worst pain when i had sugerions during the delivery of my daughters. I had never had any operations before that and the pain which i experienced was endless. A number of injections being given and yur stomach torn apart for delivery. The very thought of what i experienced sends shivers down my body.

i guess it would have to be the appenditicitis surgery which i had..i never thought that even abdomen pain could become so serious that it could only be treated by a surgery..and the worst thing I was only a school going kid those days and had a big fear for needles..and what do i get after the surgery..three injections daily for a week!!someone rightly said bad things happen in three!!pain..surgery...needles

I treat all my tooth-aches as BIG PAINS. I have very sensitive teeth. I havent has so great pains in my life to remember about. Just small, but regular ones who are very annoying.

Regular small pains can be worse than the occasional big ones.

I've taken plenty of blows to the head over the years, but I would think that the worst would be the pain after getting my impacted wisdom teeth extracted. I was sore for days. I can imagine there's plenty of worse pains, but that's the best one I can remember. I would say try avoiding other people whose daily routine predisposes them to being involved with knives stabbing.

Wisdom teeth are stupid - they cause a lot of pain and don't seem to have any use. I now try to avoid people with knives but it's not easy seeing as I work in a knife factory (just kidding).

Thats funny, i thought thats what it might feel like. I once slammed my finger in a car door. Once it closed it was locked and i had no way of opening the door with how i was. I had to wait several minutes for someone to come out of the bank to open the door for me. I was in so much pain, but in a real hurry so i thought to my self, ill be fine just go in and do your banking , so i went in the bank , went all giddy and fainted. So embarassing!!! I ve never been in so much pain , however the 2 c sections i ve had come in a close second.

Ouch! I've caught my fingers like that a few times but it's always been very quick - being stuck like it must be a lot worse.

There is nothing worse than being in serious pain and from reading these responses everyone has experienced serious pain. I would say one of my most painful moments was when I was younger and playing with fireworks. I was holding a rocket in my hand with a broken stick so I was only a couple inches from the actual rocket. I lit it got distracted by something and forgot to throw it. It went off in my hand and gave me secound and third degree burns on all my fingers and parts of my hand. That would have to be one of my most painful moments.

Wow, I hope you recovered from your stabbing. that sounds very horrible. My worst pain was when I had gal stones. That is so very painful. I had the stones for years before the doctors figured out what I had. I was in the emergency room 4 different times. When I finally had my gal bladder out, I was rushed into the hospital and had emergency surgery. The doctors told me that my stones were too big and wrapped around my gal bladder and there were many of them. I wanted to keep some of the stones to see what was giving me all that pain. I did get a couple of them. I forgot to say that the pain was so bad, it feels like so much pressure on your stomach you can't breath, then your back starts to hurt also. I'm glad that's over.

The worst pain I've ever experienced was when I have to have a blood clot extraction from my knee joint. I managed to twist my knee and the blood clot was starting to make the joint stiff. The doctor first have to inject something to dissolve the clot then the had to suck it out. Darn did it hurt. Took a few minutes to get it all out. This isn't just jabbing a needle into the flesht. This was jabbing into the joint area.

I've found that emotional pain can eventually lead to physical pain. After my mother passed away some fifteen years ago, I feel into a great depression. The depression then manifested itself into some manner of fatique that caused my immune system to slow to a hault at which point I was assaulted with one sickness after another. One horrible afternoon while plagued by a stuffed nose, it started to bleed--my nose, that is. With nowhere for the blood to go, it pooled up inside . . . I'll spare you the hideously gory details, but that was one of the worst, most painful experiences of my life.

Our emotional state has a major effect on our physical state - the immune system can be thrown off balance easily by depression, stress, anxiety and all sorts of things.
