I had been having many problems trying to get into my paypal account to no avail. I had started a discussion about this also. Now I finally got it figured out and it was as simple as I had it blocked at one point long ago due to it being a popup from another site I visited. So I had to go into my sopam blocker/spyware program and add it as accepted. Now this morning the bank showed the tiny deposits made. Now I can FINALLY go shopping online. HAHAHA. I also had a curiousity questions about the wee little they did deposit into my bank. It doesnt show on my paypal accoung as being deducted from there. So did paypal pay me an extra 21 cents then or not? Have any other members noticed if it was deducted from their paypal account or not? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hey Grandpa .. long time eBay Seller and Paypal subscriber, as far as I know that money is yours, they never ask for it back, it is never deducted from your Paypal account and they never take it back from your bank account, so I guess it is their figuring if they get $0.21 from you to start up using your bank account with them they are winning in getting more people to subscribe to them.

Well I'm happy you finally got it worked out - I know for a fact that PayPal pays that small amount because when I opened my account years ago I didn't have any money in my account yet. When I got my first deposit in PayPal I watched to see and it was not deducted. Same for my daughter when she got her account = she asked me about it and we watched and it wasn't deducted from hers either.

Well, don't want to steal all your thunder - I'm not positive as it was 7 or 8 years ago but it seems I only got 7 or 9 cents. My daughter got 12 so you are still special :)

Were Paypal supposed to deduct the 21c they gave you? I think they just give it to you. It's too long for me to remember what they did with mine. If they leave it there, keep it. Popup blockers are a necesary evil. I turn them off whenever I can. bad bunch of online processors. GoodLuck with Paypal, they are the best of a

The $.21 is yours to keep, Grandpa Bob. A small price for the business that you bring later on is the way paypal looks at it. I'll be getting my first pay end of the month and can't wait. I'll actually have something in my paypal account that I didn't put in there myself. lol Also, paypal has some kind of interest-bearing account that you can sign up for free that ties in with your paypal account. Not sure exactly how it goes but I signed up for it several years ago when they 1st offered it. Didn't have to do anything special either to get it. Now my $10 will actually earn interest just by leaving it untouched.

Well that explains why you haven' been able to get into your account! I added my bank card about 4 days ago and it is still saying I am unverified. hmmmmmm... Maybe it takes a few days for the deduction to be made from your bank account. Well anyway I am glad you are finally able to access paypal!

Nope, the money dont come from your account. Pay Pal pays it. When my sister verrified hers, they deposited .02 &.13 But when I did mine with my old pay pal account they deposited $5 & $3 I think that must have been a mistake though. Most of the time they just do a few cents. Im glad to hear you got it all worked out though. Now you can go spend some money!

That's cool, wow I can't believe you blocked them, no wonder you couldn't sign up. Pay pal is nice when you want to buy on eBay or many on-line merchants. Remember pay pal will never email you and ask for sensitive information. I have got a lot of those "phising" emails where they claim to be paypal and say that they are going to close my account. I delete them quickly, pay pal will never do that. The money they deposit is yours to keep. They do that so they can verify you actually have the account. Otherwise you could add some stolen account which wouldn't be good for them, right? And I just logged into my paypal account today, wow they are offering 5% interest rating for money uploaded to them. That is wonderful! A few years ago it was around 2%, that interest rate is MUCH better than the bank, right? Plus you don't have to have a minimum amount like the bank. Have a nice day, grandpa Bob. Pablo
