Do you have constructive hobbies? What are they?

My most constructive one would probably be working in Photoshop. I've made a little money off of it and if I go to college/uni for it I could possibly make a career out of it. Also I enjoy myLot and PTR sites which bring in a little money. What kind of hobbies do you have that are actually "get something done" or benefit you? Other than myLot of course.

My contructive hobby is writing. So far, it is making me a decent sum of money every month. Plus, I just love it, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't write. It's also quite theraputic which helps me often to stay on the straight and narrow. I think it' be fun to learn photoshop. I am not very computer literate, but really need to set up a couple of good blogs to promote muself. Best of luck to you in school. You will do great. Part of the having a "job" is doing something you love...at least most of the time.

Writing is fun if you can get the words to come out! I envy you for being good enough at it to make a decent amount from it. Photoshop isn't hard to pick up and play around with. If you want a free alternative to give graphics design a spin with try gimp.org. The gimp is a great program. I'm just spoiled on a few features in photoshop.

One I would recommend to everyone: reading. It's not only a great form of relaxation and stress relief, a better escape than the internet, but keeps the ol' brain working. Don't look now, you're learning!

Mine is definately photography. I'm improving my skills and next year i'm going to Uni to continue my study of photography and become a professional. At the moment i'm making a bit of money from stock sites but i don't have the time or resources to charge people for portraits. Of course i also love MyLot and running my money making website.

My most constructive hobby would probably be my music, since I am recording CDs to benefit Hospice of Michigan. My friends I have already recorded a few CDs for fundraisers. We will be doing at least a couple more in the next couple of months. In addition to my music, I also enjoy gardening, although I cannot do much of it since my injuries. It is a constructive hobby when I can accomplish what needs to be done. I am hoping that I will still get fruit on my berry plants and apples on my trees after the strange weather we had this year. I have worked with various computer programs putting together videos from pictures of everyone at our family reunions. I put more work into that project than I ever imagined possible, but I learned a lot about how to use the programs. I made these for family members and only charged for materials. Now that I know how much work is involved, I will not make that mistake again! I enjoy doing what I can online. Mostly I enjoy writing, and although I do not expect to make a career out of it, I hope that what I write will at least be helpful to someone. Sometimes just making a difference in the lives of others is more important than money... although money is a nice bonus.

I have a lot of hobbies but none that really generate any income. A few months ago, I picked up crocheting so I crochet a lot of baby items for friends who are expecting. That's constructive, right? :)

Probably more constructive even than things that make money. That's quite kind of you to do.

I tend to garden when I find the time between work and school (admittedly not often enough). It provides our place with color and during the spring, summer, and fall I have tasty vegetables and herbs to share and to cook with. I also write as a sideline job to make a few extra bucks here and there. I enjoy working on my novel when I'm not doing writing for profit.
